Alumni Ernie here wondering when dinner is. Such expressions this dog has!
No one knows what time it is and it will be dark soon to make us think we need to go to bed.
We'll adjust for sure but we get to grumble a little while we do.

Junie would like to be fed at the same time anyways. She's doing well on her diet.
We will be dragging for a bit with this time change. If you haven't done so, fix your clocks (or wait six months and they'll be right again!)Time went back an hour last night.

Junie is ready to go. She's spayed, vaccinated,and microchipped. She had her teeth cleaned. Junie is fabulous with new people (including children) she meets but takes a minute to warm up to new dogs. Junie loves to walk but also loves a lap. She's like your own personal weighted blanket.

Junie says Happy Halloween! Which outfit looks best on her??

Junie is ready to go. She is fully vetted -- spayed. She has had a dental, she's vaccinated, and microchipped.
Junie is kid friendly, people friendly in general. She is good with other dogs after a 30 second warm up.
Junie is a typical pug. Fun little gal, happy all of the time. Junie is potty trained. We are working on kennel training, she's doing well with it. She sleeps in one and eats in one. Junie walks great on leash as well. She loves to walk.
Junie does like sitting in your lap or next to you as well but also gets hot and sploots on the floor.

Sweet Junie is still available. She's lost a pound so far.
She is completely vetted (spayed, teeth cleaned, Vaccinated, microchipped). She loves a walk and is super friendly with folks she meets. She does need 30 seconds to meet new dogs but does well with them after that.

Little Bear also tried on costumes. He is difficult to photograph as he refuses to sit still or look at me. But he's cute anyways. Here he is as a pumpkin and a bat.
Little Bear received quite a few applications and we are still going through them. He does have a meet set up for this weekend and could be adopted. If that one is not a fit, we will move to the next application.
Bear is almost 6 pounds and he's finally doing really well. His hair in his tail is growing back and you can see it finally. He's an early riser and today that meant we were up by 5:30 am. (Time change will be awful this weekend)
You can still apply in case the other apps don't work out. We go based on the order received and the best fit for Bear. It does take time to do vet checks and talk to folks. Please be patient.

Halloween safety!! We put a gate across our door so no one is leaving. Make sure the candy bowl is where dogs can't get into it. Leave your dogs at home if you take your kids out. Most of them are scared by the costumes and decorations in folks yards. If you put a costume on your dog, watch them. Most costumes are not meant to be worn for a long period of time. Dogs can overheat and also get their legs stuck trying to get out of it.

We tried on Halloween costumes yesterday and Callum is going as a football in his borrowed football sweater. He was not a fan of the lights in the studio, or the costume. He does love the tiny couch and the plush blanket.
Callum is a sweet old dude. He has settled in here and most of the time eats on his own. We do give him meds on days when he refuses. He doesn't need the apoquel anymore since we took him off chicken.
Callum is 7.5 years per his records but that is a guess. He's about 6 pounds, he's skinny but he doesn't eat well. We rotate what he eats and that helps. He also doesn't care for food out of a can unless it's room temp. He's picky to say the least.

Junie has wanted to go for a walk since we got her so today we finally took her. She's good on leash. She loves walking too. She is on a diet to lose weight but that takes time. Junie is available. Apply to meet her.

Please read the website and understand that the steps take time. We vet folks who want to adopt thoroughly. We do this because we want the best fit for the dog for the rest of his life. We also do home visits so if you live hours away or states away, we have to decide if that's really a good fit for this particular dog. Sometimes we can make it work, sometimes we can't. Please be patient. In between the dogs, we have a life and other things we have to take care of.
