🐱☀️ Caturday Summer Hydration Tips! ☀️🐱

As temperatures rise, keeping your cat hydrated becomes even more important. Cats aren't always great water drinkers, so a little creativity can go a long way!

💧 Easy Ways to Boost Your Cat's Water Intake:
🐾 Add a splash of water or low-sodium broth to wet food.
🐾 Mix a little warm water into dry kibble (if your cat approves!).
🐾 Feed canned food, which contains much more moisture than dry food.
🐾 Place water bowls in several locations around your home.
🐾 Try a pet fountain—many cats prefer moving water.
🐾 Refresh water daily and keep bowls clean.

😸 Fun Cat Fact: Cats evolved from desert-dwelling ancestors, which means they naturally have a low thirst drive. That's why many cats don't drink enough water on their own.

⚠️ Watch for signs of dehydration, including:
• Dry or tacky gums
• Lethargy
• Loss of appetite
• Sunken eyes
• Decreased skin elasticity

A well-hydrated cat is a happier, healthier cat—especially during our hot Georgia summers!

🐾✨ Meet Our Furry Friend Friday Star: Cally Rosa! ✨🐾

This week we're featuring the adorable Cally Rosa, who came to see us for her semi-annual wellness visit! 💕🐶

Cally Rosa was here for her Leptospirosis vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, and a f***l screen, but if you ask her, the best part of the visit was definitely all the cuddles. 🥰

In fact, we don't think this sweet girl spent more than a few seconds without being in someone's arms the entire time she was here! She happily soaked up all the attention and reminded us why we love what we do every day. 💙🐾

💡 Why are semi-annual visits important? Pets age much faster than we do, and a lot can change in just six months. Regular wellness visits help us monitor changes in weight, dental health, skin and coat condition, mobility, and overall wellness—often catching small concerns before they become bigger problems.

Cally Rosa was an absolute angel for her visit, and we're already looking forward to seeing her again. Until then, we'll just have to miss those snuggles! 🥹💕

Drop a 🐾💗 below if you'd be carrying Cally Rosa around all day too!

Wellness Wednesday 🐾
Be Ready Before You Need To Be: National Pet Preparedness Month

Emergencies can happen when we least expect them. Whether it's severe weather, a power outage, or an unexpected evacuation, having a plan for your pets is just as important as having one for your family.

Your pet emergency kit should include:

✔️ At least 3-5 days of food and water
✔️ Medications and medical records
✔️ A current photo of your pet
✔️ Leash, harness, or carrier
✔️ Comfort items like favorite toys or blankets
✔️ Contact information for your veterinarian and emergency veterinary hospitals

Taking a few minutes today to prepare can make a stressful situation much easier tomorrow.

How prepared are you for an emergency involving your pets?

🐾💛 A Little Reminder From the One Who Loves You Most 💛🐾

Hey you,

You know what's funny? I never spend my day worrying about whether there will be enough belly rubs, enough sunshine, or enough reasons to wag my tail. I simply enjoy the good things as they come... and somehow, they always do. 🐶✨

This week, I want you to remember that life has a way of surprising us when we least expect it.

There may be more joy ahead than you can currently imagine.
More opportunities.
More reasons to smile.
More moments that remind you that all your hard work has been worth it.

You don't have to chase every good thing or force every door open. Sometimes the best gifts arrive naturally when we're open to receiving them.

So walk into this week with a grateful heart and a little extra hope. Leave room for wonderful surprises.

And when those blessings show up, don't forget to celebrate them... preferably with treats. 🍪😉

I'll be right here, cheering you on every step of the way.

— Your faithful furry companion 💛

🐾 SUNDAY FUNDAY IN ROSWELL! 🐾

Who says Sundays are just for humans?

Start the day with a walk through Roswell Area Park, enjoy brunch on a dog-friendly patio, stroll Historic Canton Street, and finish with dinner under the Georgia sky. ☀️🐶

Whether your pup loves sniffing new trails, meeting new friends, or simply soaking up the sunshine beside you, Roswell has plenty of ways to make Sunday a family day for everyone—including the four-legged family members.

Here's a local itinerary recommendation the whole family can enjoy:

🌳 Start your morning with a stroll at Roswell Area Park. With plenty of green space, walking trails, and room to explore, it's a great way to burn off some puppy energy before the Georgia heat sets in.

☕ After your walk, grab brunch on the patio at Fellows Cafe. Their outdoor seating welcomes dogs, making it easy to enjoy coffee, brunch, and quality time with your favorite four-legged family member.

🏘️ Then head over to Historic Canton Street for a leisurely afternoon stroll. The area is full of pet-friendly patios, local shops, and plenty of sights and smells to keep tails wagging. Canton Street is also home to Roswell's popular Alive in Roswell festival series, which highlights the area's walkable, community-focused atmosphere.

🍗 Wrap up the day with dinner on the patio at Table & Main, where dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating areas and families can enjoy a relaxed Sunday evening together.

Have an amazing day!!

🐾✨ Meet Our Furry Friend Friday Star: Charlie! ✨🐾

Everyone say hello to Charlie, a handsome senior Standard Poodle who came to see us for his annual visit—and to get some help with an ear infection 💙🐶

Charlie was such a sweet gentleman during his appointment and reminded us all why senior pets hold such a special place in our hearts 🥹🐾

As our pets get older, routine wellness visits become even more important. Annual (and sometimes semi-annual) exams help us stay ahead of age-related changes, monitor comfort and mobility, and catch concerns early so our senior pets can continue living happy, healthy lives ✨

👂 Did you know? Ear infections can sometimes be more than just an ear problem. Recurring ear infections are commonly linked to underlying allergies—especially environmental or food allergies. Signs like head shaking, itching, licking paws, or chronic ear irritation can all point toward allergy-related inflammation.

Charlie was an absolute sweetheart for his visit, and we’re so glad we could help get him feeling more comfortable again 💕

Give this distinguished gentleman some love in the comments! 🐩💙

🐾 Wellness Wednesday: Why Spring Allergies Hit Pets So Hard 🌼

Did you know pets can be allergic to the same things we are?

During spring, pollen counts rise dramatically—and those allergens don’t just affect people. Dogs and cats can develop inflammatory reactions when allergens collect on their skin, paws, ears, and fur.

In fact, environmental allergies are one of the MOST common reasons pets visit the vet this time of year.

⚠️ Signs your pet may be struggling with allergies:
• Constant scratching or chewing
• Paw licking or rusty paw stains
• Ear infections or head shaking
• Red, irritated skin
• Hot spots or hair loss

Here’s something many pet owners don’t realize:
👉 Repeated scratching actually damages the skin barrier, making pets MORE vulnerable to infections and chronic irritation over time.

The earlier allergies are treated, the more comfortable your pet can be—and the easier it is to prevent secondary skin problems.

Treatment options may include:
💉 Cytopoint® injections for fast itch relief
💊 Apoquel® tablets for ongoing allergy control
🥣 Specialized diets & allergy testing

🌟 MAY SPECIALS 🌟
This month with your pet’s comprehensive exam, we’re offering:
✔️ FREE skin assessment
✔️ Purina® Skin Care treat sample
✔️ FREE NexGard Combo dose for cats (*vaccines/labs must be current*)

Don’t let your pet suffer through allergy season. Relief is possible, and we’re here to help. 💚

• Tiny scabs on the skin
• Hair loss
• Restlessness or irritability

That’s why year-round flea prevention is one of the best ways to protect your cat’s skin and overall health.
