Poor FCAR adopted Sam (grumpy small white dog) did not appreciate having to share his bed with FCAR adopted Gus and available puppy Pau Gasol. Pau is such a great pup. Came inside and hasn’t moved from the dog bed, in spite of Sam's best efforts 🥰

We’re still gathering submissions for the 2026 Fayette County Animal Rescue Calendar—and we’d love to feature YOUR rescue pet! 🎉

We still need portraits for these months (seasonal themes encouraged!):
• January ❄️ cozy by the fire, sweaters, snow fun
• February ❤️ Valentine colors, hearts, snuggles
• March ☘️ St. Patrick’s Day, green, spring vibes
• April 🌸 flowers, Easter, fresh outdoors
• August ☀️ summer sunshine, swimming, beach/poolside
• September 🍎 back-to-school, early fall leaves, harvest
• December 🎄 holiday décor, winter cozies, festive lights

We also have extra spots on the collage page, so even if your pet doesn’t snag a full-month feature, they can still be part of the celebration! 📸✨

Pau Gasol is officially the perfect unicorn of puppies 🐶 This morning he even got 10+ year old Sam to play - who plays with No One. Pau gets along beautifully with all 4 foster (dog) brothers, two of which are not really puppy fans. He loves to curl up next to big Tank, who truly prefers puppies respect his 10’ bubble. We caught him yesterday snuggled up sleeping with Charles, Inside his favorite hole under a bush. When you pick him up he does not move even an inch. When you put him in your lap he goes straight to sleep. TV time for snuggles - straight to sleep by you. He is a Great one! Available for pre-adoption locally!! fayettefcar.com/adopt

Our Doggy Wash is Saturday, Sept 6 in Oakland (Stockdale’s) and we’re short on hands for the PM crew. If you’re 16+, love pups, and don’t mind getting a little wet, we need you! We’ll provide supplies—just wear closed-toe shoes and bring that big heart. 💛

Fayette County Animal Rescue is a no kill, non profit animal shelter serving Fayette County, TN. We have a physical shelter which is located on 5 beautiful acres in Rossville, TN. Our primary focus is helping animals in extreme cases of abuse, neglect, injury or abandonment. We house between 70-100 cats and dogs at our shelter and in foster homes.
