The Fort Bend County Animal Services Shelter has a number of dog, cats, puppies and kittens that need a good home. The majority of these animals have been abandoned by the owners on the side of the road, in fields or even a ditch.

These two 4MO pups LOVE having some summer fun! They’d love to have a foster fling while they wait for their forever homes.

Fostering is PERFECT. Both for puppies and for you!

For the pups it lets them relax in a comfy home environment while they wait for adoption. It can actually help us find adopters quicker with the cute pics and videos we get out of fosters can actually help them find adopters sooner! Plus it helps them get a head start on learning their manners for their forever homes.

And for the fosters you get all the fun of a puppy without the commitment to forever. It also means that you can keep making new doggy friends by continuing to foster! Not to mention the warm, fuzzy feeling of doing a good dead, and helping to save a life.

Do you know me?

This sweet young Goldendoodle was brought to us as a stray yesterday from Rosharon (the 406 block of ray street).

She looks clean and well cared for, so she couldn't have been on her own for long! We'd love to reunite her with her family, but she didn't have any owner information on her.

BB is everything people hope for in a puppy! He’s playful, sweet, and eager to learn, with a calm, easygoing personality that makes him a joy to have around.

While he has the happy curiosity and playful spirit you'd expect from a young pup, BB isn't over the top or hyper. He's gentle, submissive, and loves spending time with people. Whether that's playing fetch with his favorite ball, chewing on a toy or bone, or simply stretching out in a sunny spot for a nap, he’s happy!

He’s gotten along well with cats, kids, and other dogs in a previous short term foster home. He’s very sweet, calm, and polite. He’s already learn what sit, paw, and no mean, and is treat motivated. He’s crate trained, sleeps quietly through the night, and is working on potty training.

If you're looking for a puppy who has all the fun of puppyhood without being nonstop chaos, BB could be your perfect match! He's a gentle, affectionate little guy who's ready to grow up with a family of his own.

BB is now back from his short term foster home, single and ready to mingle!

Churro is the kind of dog who brings a sense of calm wherever he goes. When you walk up to his kennel, you'll likely find him lounging comfortably on his bed, greeting you with nothing more than a gentle wag of his tail. He's in no rush - just happy to see you.

Once it's time for an adventure, Churro quietly gets to his feet and walks perfectly on a leash without pulling. We also think he may be potty trained.

Churro enjoys toys in his own laid back way. Toss him a squeaky toy, and he'll happily trot over to retrieve it before carrying it around calmly for a bit.

He's not especially interested in treats or showing off tricks, but what he loves most is simple companionship. Sit down beside him, start petting him, and he'll stay contentedly at your side for as long as you're willing to keep the affection coming.

If you're looking for a gentle, low energy companion, Churro could be the perfect match! His calm demeanor, sweet nature, and easygoing personality make him the kind of dog who's simply a joy to have around.
