Ruffles end of week 2.

This boy still thinks he is a fighter, but deep down he is a lover. Very happy with his progress. His impulse control is getting much better even with that high prey drive.

From ready to throw down with everything that moves to actually learning how to chill. More to come, this boy is turning a corner. 😏

Part 4 of the funny truths your dog wishes he could bark at you.

Why you repeat go potty 8 times like you casting a spell when I am already peeing? Bro I got it the first time.

Why you ask who is a good boy 47 times a day? I already know I am a good boy.

Why you hide the vacuum like it is a monster then get mad when I bark at it? Make up your mind human.

And the zoomies? I am not crazy. I just need to empty the battery sometimes.

Kidding aside, these little things show how much we love our humans even when they are weird. We just want clear rules, calm leadership, and real chill time. That is what we build at K9 SKOOL.

Very happy working with all these dogs and their funny humans. 😏

Real world training with Canalo, Gigi and Dante today. We took them to the shopping center to environmental exposures.

This is what we do at K9 SKOOL. We teach them how to chill and stay stable around people and all kinds of environment. Not just in the house or empty field.

These dogs are learning they do not have to react to everything they see. They can just relax and enjoy being out with their people. Very happy with how they handled it. Progress is real. 😏

it is a busy store, tennis court, or just walking around the neighborhood, we teach them to stay calm and stable in real life situations. Not just in a quiet training field.
That is the difference. We build real calmness that actually works when you need it. Proud of all our dogs and their owners. 😏

Here is the cold truth your dog wishes he could bark at you.

I do not love you unconditionally. I love whatever deal you are offering today, food, freedom, couch time, attention. That is my love language.
Stop romanticizing it. Stop handing out free passes like a broke simp. When you give freedom for nothing, I learn I do not have to earn s**t. That is how you create a pushy, entitled dog.

Freedom is not a right. It is a salary. Off leash, couch access, greeting guests, all of it must be earned with good behavior.

I do not need a perfect human. I need a strong, calm, consistent leader. Be that and I will follow you anywhere. Be weak and I will run the house.
Your move, boss.

Behind the scenes training with Roulette and Mom inside the tennis court. This gives u idea what our private lesson usually is. Tennis courts becomes my go to training ground, definitely good for both handler and dogs.

It wasn’t easy. Roulette has high prey drive and those balls bouncing around were testing her hard. But they pushed through it together.
Mom stayed calm, handled it well, and Roulette is learning to control that drive instead of letting it control her.

This is the kind of real-life work we do. Not just pretty heeling in an empty field. Proud of both of them. 😏

Gizmo is going home! 💪

This 4 month old pup came in like a little tornado, zipping around, barking at everything that moved. Just 3 weeks later and his progress has been way better than we expected. Way more impulse control, way less reactive, and actually learning how to chill.

Little man showed up wild but he’s leaving a solid, calm puppy. Very happy with Gizmo’s progress. Mom and Dad are getting back a totally different dog. Proud of this boy. 😏

Wild to chill mode in just 3 weeks! Logan is going home today.

Dad has a few kind words to say.
This boy came in full wild child, zero brakes, ready to take on the world. Now? Total gentleman. Calm, focused, and actually listening. Dad is happy and proud of the transformation.

From chaos machine to a dog you can actually enjoy. That’s what 3 weeks of real work looks like. Very happy with Logan and Dad. Solid team. 😏

We had an improv group lesson today with Raffle, Siren, Gizmo and Mango. Gizmo is going home so he was good. Siren the Great Dane is known as a hauler and fighter with other dogs.
Then there is Ruffles, this boy is a pro WWE wrestler. Pretty, vocal, he makes sure everyone knows he is presents. Throwing down is his specialty, he does not take it lightly whether it is human or dog. And Mango acting as the junior assistant making sure everyone stays in line. That was our group.

Kidding aside, this lesson was really good for both Siren and especially Ruffles. He has never been this calm around other dogs before. It was a new experience for him. Very happy with the short session. Progress is real. 😏

Roulette has been having selective hearing lately. She gets a bit busy and does not want to be bothered when other dogs are around. Recall and sit have been optional for her.

She is here at K9 SKOOL to learn how to actually listen. Whatever Mom says is good. I am coaching Mom how to talk to her in real dog language.

Very happy with our first lesson. Roulette is starting to understand that listening is not optional anymore. Good progress today. 😏
