Buck Brook Alpacas, Inc. Buck Brook Alpacas is a 38 acre alpaca farm nestled in the Western Catskills in Sullivan County, New York two hours from New York City.

Buck Brook Alpacas strives to raise alpacas in a comfortable and environmentally friendly setting while promoting agriculture within the region and inspiring and educating customers on the benefits of farming. The farm specializes in fiber production from its herd of Huacaya Alpacas. The herd consists of over 30 male and female alpacas of a variety of colors: black, brown, fawn, grey, and white.

The fiber produced is hypoallergenic, and the herd is fed a predominantly organic diet. Our two herd sires are an award winner and a descendant of champion blood lines, both available for breeding. The farm also provides alpaca boarding. Building the Herd

Buck Brook Alpacas began in 2013 through the procurement of alpacas from Nature’s Reserve alpaca farm in Callicoon, NY. Many of our animals produce award-winning fibers which are available for sale as roving and yarn. Several of our award-winning males are also available for sire. Our Farm Store currently offers pumpkins, gourds, and alpaca gold manure beans. The farm will grow to offer alpaca products including yarn, hats, scarves, socks, rugs and blankets as well. 💧☀️🦙Come rain or shine, we’ve got you “covered”!

⛰️Wet days just mean that you can visit with the animals in the more intimate setting—the barn. It’s dry and protects you from the wind that we can sometimes get being at this higher Catskills elevation. Bring a picnic or pick up light refreshments and sit under our pavilion that overlooks the pastures where the animals often run and play. It is so fun watching all the babies having a romp!

☔️ Rain ponchos are available in our Farm Store for those who want to explore the farm or take an alpaca walk.

🛍️ The Farm Store is always open during farm hours. One can get lost amongst all of the soft, cute, warm, and beautiful alpaca products on display. We also sell crafts, tools, yarn, and roving. Plus alpaca-themed novelty gifts for inexpensive souvenirs.

💎 Gem mining is now running! Purchase mining rough and fossil bags in the Farm Store.

🤗 The weather this weekend will likely be wet, but that never dampens a visit to Buck Brook Alpacas. Just remember to bring an umbrella and wear layers + appropriate footwear!
