(1)

Buck Brook Alpacas strives to raise alpacas in a comfortable and environmentally friendly setting while promoting agriculture within the region and inspiring and educating customers on the benefits of farming. The farm specializes in fiber production from its herd of Huacaya Alpacas. The herd consists of over 30 male and female alpacas of a variety of colors: black, brown, fawn, grey, and white.

The fiber produced is hypoallergenic, and the herd is fed a predominantly organic diet. Our two herd sires are an award winner and a descendant of champion blood lines, both available for breeding. The farm also provides alpaca boarding. Building the Herd

Buck Brook Alpacas began in 2013 through the procurement of alpacas from Nature’s Reserve alpaca farm in Callicoon, NY. Many of our animals produce award-winning fibers which are available for sale as roving and yarn. Several of our award-winning males are also available for sire. Our Farm Store currently offers pumpkins, gourds, and alpaca gold manure beans. The farm will grow to offer alpaca products including yarn, hats, scarves, socks, rugs and blankets as well. The mailing address is: PO Box 95, Hortonville, NY 12745. The physical address is: 39 Bestenheider Road, Roscoe, NY 12776

Hours of operation vary. Guests may visit the farm by making an appointment at 845-887-5652.

What better way to start off your Sunday than doing yoga….with alpacas and Cheri!

$25pp Book online (link in bio)

Buck Brook offers an even more intimate way to commune with the alpacas—by doing yoga in their domain. As they frolic, graze, rest, and play, a limited number of students will join instructor Cheri Brasseale in the pastoral splendor of the farm’s fields. Cheri will be holding alpaca yoga classes every Sunday in July at 10AM.

Cheri has been a certified Integral yoga teacher for over 20 years. For her, yoga is more than just the physical asanas—it is a philosophy that serves as a tool to access inner peace. Her classes are as much a guided meditation—integrating metaphor, humor, and visualization—as they are a movement class. She also incorporates her knowledge of indigenous teachings alongside traditional yoga wisdom. The alpacas, meanwhile, will perform their own unique meditation in the same field the practitioners are in, aiding the students in garnering an even greater sense of peace while gently “vibing” with these gentle creatures.
And book a Private Tour, Feeding Ticket, Alpaca Walk, or Gem Mining (seasonal) while you visit!

ALPACA YOGA GUIDELINES

Benefactor Spotlight 🌟

Nestled among rolling hills, limestone bluffs, and grassy meadows, Irish Meadows Alpaca Farm knew alpacas were the perfect fit from the start. Since 2004, they’ve focused on colored Peruvian and Accoyo genetics, guided by mentor farms and driven by a commitment to continual improvement. Their continued success stems from always seeking the next “perfect” alpaca to enhance their foundation herd.

Just two hours from metro NYC, sits on 38 scenic acres in the Western Catskills. Since 2013, they’ve embraced sustainable farming with a strong emphasis on agritourism. Through farm tours and outreach, they promote the alpaca industry as a whole, raising awareness of these animals and the beauty and utility of their fiber.
