Most of our followers know how our rescue started, but for those that don't, here it is. Between May 25th and June 10th, 2019, we rescued 3 dogs that came up to Rogers City. The first one that came to our house (as a foster only) was this little girl that was at St Landry's Parish in Louisiana. Her name was Susan, and she needed to get out of the shelter, as time was always running out on stray dogs. It just so happen that Cathy Bissel from the BISSELL Pet Foundation was bringing up dogs from Lousiana to a shelter in Michigan. After talking to her, she graciously let Susan and another pup catch a ride to South Olive in Michigan. We picked Susan and Beau (formally Memphis) and brought them to Rogers City. My girls wanted to rename Susan and they chose the name Liberty. She was a young pup and hadn't had a good life in her short time on earth. The reason we chose her over all the other dogs that were listed on Facebook was because her post really made an impression on us. It said if Liberty had one wish🌠, it would be for her to find a home. 🏡 If she had two wishes🌠🌠, it would be for her friends to find homes.🏡🏡 With those words in the back of our minds, we knew what we had to do.... and that was to rescue dogs and find them homes.❤️🐕🦮🐕‍🦺. That was the start of Liberty's Dream Animal Rescue. Of course, Libby was another foster fail, as she chose Maddie to be her person. Happy Gotcha Day to our sweet girl Libby and Beau!!🥰🥰
