All-

Getting on my soapbox. Right now we are at about 50% of chilled semen we get in actually being viable. PLEASE make sure someone with a PHASE microscope does the analysis. Bright field does NOT cut it. Make sure they spin it and extend it properly. Make sure the conicals are labeled properly. Make sure there is paperwork provided. Please please do NOT accept DIY dog owners to ship semen on their own! It almost never ends well. Again today…..yet another botched breeding due 100% to stud owner. PLEASE refuse to buy from DIY stud owners. It is becoming an epidemic. Has anyone else noticed this as a huge problem? If you don’t know….and they can’t go to a reproduction professional…..go elsewhere. Or have a Plan B in place. But be prepared to “eat” the shipping.
