This is Jasper He's almost 3 years old and a bernedoodle (who is obsessed with Keisha).

Jasper is task trained to identify dairy eggs and peanut in foods. This raw and unedited clip of his training session recently shows just how accurate he is with his job! His owner says that he's probably about 98% accurate at home and can sometimes be less accurate when excited but is still probably around 90-95% accurate even when excited or in a new environment He's working towards a Scent DetectionTitle with the AKC. He's also just about ready to test for public access and he's about to add a few additional tasks to his list such as picking up things his grandmother drops and maybe even a little Deep Pressure work with his boy!
(Jasper doesn't like to be bored...)

🎯 JULY TRAINING CHALLENGE: Teach Your Puppy to SIT! 🐾

Looking for a simple skill to build focus and obedience this summer? Let’s master the “Sit” command together!

This month's challenge is perfect for puppies and young dogs—and a great refresher for older pups too.

🗓 Challenge Goal:
Teach your pup to sit reliably on cue by the end of July!

⏱ Time Commitment:
Just 5–10 minutes a day, 2–3 short sessions.

🧠 Puppies learn best in quick, positive, and consistent bursts!

📚 Step-by-Step: Teaching Sit

Start with a treat in hand.
Hold it just above your puppy’s nose so they see (and smell!) it.

Lure them back.
Slowly move the treat backward toward their ears. As their head follows the treat, their bottom should lower naturally.

Mark the moment.
The second their bum hits the ground, say “Yes!” (or use a clicker) and reward with the treat.

Repeat.
Practice 5–6 times per session. Keep it upbeat!

Add the cue.
After a few days of success, start saying “Sit” just before you lure.

Fade the lure.
Once they understand, switch to using just your voice or a hand signal—treats come after the sit!
