Beginning September 2026, we will now be offering farm services! Henry will be joining our team this fall and is excited to offer ambulatory services to the Midcoast area!
Henry Laurita earned his B.S. in zoology from the University of Maine at Orono in 2020 and completed his DVM at Oregon State University in 2026. During his time in vet school, Henry worked as a milker at the OSU dairy herd and attended the Summer Dairy Institute at Cornell University. Previously, Henry has worked several years as a carpenter, as a veterinary assistant with Dr Contakos, and as an elephant keeper with his dad, Dr Jim Laurita. In his free time Henry can be found out on the water and with his partner, Cassie, and their cat, Zinnie.
Henry is excited to be back in Maine and to offer veterinary field services to cattle, sheep, goats, swine, camelids, poultry and bees. Some of his clinical interests include preventative medicine, integrative medicine and milk quality, and he’s passionate about working with small and backyard farms and about supporting local food systems.
