Fall is here! For any of you that don’t know, I was one of the lucky ones who drew a moose tag for the September season (next week). I’ve always wondered what would happen when this situation came up…. And yeah, I’m going! I’m going to go for the full week, and will be out of service. That being said, Clay will be covering for me with limited drop off hours. Side note- he also won best of category for the amateur devision at the Northern New England competition this year! So, if anyone wants to drop off please call or text Clay at- (207) 542-6584. If you are just wanting a euro or antler mount, you can also keep them in a cool place the best you can and reach out to me on Monday October 3rd and we can set something up then. Also, there will be a quota on all animals coming in this year. I’m doing my best to keep everyone happy, and in the long term get the turn around time back down a little bit. As always, thank you to everyone who currently has work with me for their continued patience! Good luck to everyone hitting the woods, so far it has proved to be a great fall!

I’m alive! I know I promised to be better about posting but the bottom line is it takes time and that is hard to come by. First off, I wanted to give everyone an update. Unfortunately, I am running behind on my estimated turnaround times from 2020 work. I have spoken to many of you but it’s impossible to reach out to everyone. All I can do is say thank you, thank you to each and every one of you. I have the best clients and I appreciate you all! I just please ask for your patience! I only have two hands and am doing my very best. When a project comes in I give my best guesstimate and I am still paying that Covid tax. Again, I’m very sorry. Secondly, I want to congratulate everyone who was fortunate enough to draw a moose permit, congratulations! Do your homework and remember, have a good time!

We are trying to get all the scoring wrapped up. I’ll be contacting everyone who we spoke with about scoring shortly. If you took your antlers home from this past fall and we talked about getting them scored get ahold of me to drop them back off. There’s some beauties going in the book this year!

As I sit down, on New Years Eve I find it hard to believe we are wrapping up another year. I think back on this past year, and I’m speechless. The last few years have been different for everyone. Many small businesses have been forced to shut their doors on what they love to do. I’ve been very fortunate…. Even during some tough times, you guys have been the best and keep supporting The Bug Shed allowing me to keep doing what I love to do everyday. I’m limited to 10 pictures, I’d love to post way more. I will try and be better with that. But most importantly I wanted to reach out and say thank you! I hope 2022 brings a healthy and happy New Year to everyone. Be safe, and make memories!

Longtime local hunter and coach Raymond Gushee, of Appleton, received the gift of a new rifle from his friends after a health crisis. Now there seems to be no stopping him.

Very, very thankful for many things. Especially my family, friends, and of course clients new and old who continue to come back to let me do what I love everyday. Don’t give up, there is still time! Enjoy the day, good company, tell some stories and eat plenty of good food. Happy Thanksgiving!
