Queens for Canines has always been about giving back to the animal rescues of Brevard County, and this year we are setting our sights even higher. Our goal is to break our all-time fundraising record of $19,500 and make an even greater impact for the animals who need us most.

Untamed & Unleashed will feature an unforgettable night of incredible performers, dazzling entertainment, acrobats, a silent auction, a full bar, surprises throughout the evening, and a room full of people coming together for a truly meaningful cause.

The rescues selected through our rescue lottery will be announced soon.

Ticket sales officially go on sale in August.

Mark your calendars now. This is going to be our biggest and best show to date. ❤️

Every summer in Florida, we see the same heartbreaking thing happen.

Good dog owners underestimate the heat.

Not because they don’t care.
Because they don’t realize how dangerous humidity can become for dogs in just minutes.

A quick walk.
A little backyard play.
A “they’ll be fine for a bit.”

And suddenly a dog is overheating faster than anyone expected.

Dogs do not cool themselves the way humans do. In Florida, the heat index matters more than the temperature itself, and for some breeds, especially flat-faced breeds, conditions can become dangerous incredibly fast.

This post isn’t about fear.
It’s about community awareness.

If sharing information like this prevents even one emergency, or even worse, the loss of a beloved family member, then it matters.

Truthfully, conversations like this are one of the reasons we chose to create a completely indoor play environment for dogs. We wanted a place where dogs could run, wrestle, play hard, and burn energy without battling Florida heat indexes for most of the year.

Please keep fresh water available, avoid peak afternoon heat, check pavement temperatures, and remember that heavy panting is not always “normal” in this weather.

We love this community and the dogs in it too much not to talk about it. 🐾☀️
