The Joker wants to let everyone know that Saturday June 21st and Sunday June 22nd we will only be open until noon on both days due to the extreme heat. We are doing this for the safety of our cats and guest. We do still have openings for the 9am feeding tour on Sunday if you wanted to join call 608-524-5466 to reserve your spot!

Daytona wants to let everyone know that we are now officially open under our summer hours which are daily 10am to 4pm- we are closed Tuesday and Wednesdays. We are also in the need for a riding lawn mower 54 inches or less, that we can mow inside the enclosures with, if anyone knows of someone who has one please send them our way. We are looking for volunteers to help with our Friday night Full Throttle nights- help with parking cars and help in the concession stand. Please message us if you are interested!

As most of you know we don't have as many cats anymore. But we want all our guest to still be able to enjoy our rescue, but most importantly we want our cats to have the best and most enriched lives with us. So that being said we have plans to join some enclosures together so everyone has more room. We are going to have tunnels and/or shifting pathways to join to the next enclosure. Below is kind of an example on how we plan to do it. The only problem is it's going to take time and alot of money which we don't have right now. We are guessing about $15,000 to do this upgrade, so any donations towards our goal will be greatly appreciated! You can go thru our website www.wisconsinbigcats.org and donate or simply mail a check to: WBCR
PO Box 245, Rock Springs, WI 53961. Or drop off in person when we reopen. Which leads us to another change. We plan to reopen for the spring season on Saturday, April 26th 10am to 4pm and same for Sunday. Then it will be every Saturday and Sunday til Memorial day. Then it will switch to daily(everyday except Tuesday & Wednesdays) 10am to 4pm. And our morning tours will start at 9am instead of 8am - which still need to be booked in advance. 608-524-5466. We will discontinue our night tours for the 2025 season. We do still have the cabin rentals.

Nobody knows how painful it is to not hear his voice in the morning before feeding. Or in the afternoon or late at night. Don't get me wrong, but we do have 4 other voices that express their selves if not louder now. But it's not the same(we can tell the differences in their tones). ( the others are actually louder) So hard to feed them this morning, stopping where they were to feed them and they are not there, just so hard for us.. please know we have plans to reopen this spring but just don't know exact date yet.....

Today was one of the worst. We said goodbye to big boy BamBam he was 2 months shy of his 21st birthday. We have had him since he was 2 weeks old. He is now pain free and running around with his sister Pebbles. And unfortunately we also said goodbye to Memphis, after his surgery 2 weeks ago and no improvement - it was cancer. He is running around pain free with his brothers. We will deeply miss these boys, This is always the worst part

Yesterday was an extremely hard day for us. As we planned to say our goodbyes to our sweet Katrina, she is now running free with her sister Maya in kitty heaven. We also lost our big boy Parker yesterday to cancer. His brother Memphis went thru a major surgery for a growth yesterday too. More than likely it is cancer, please say an extra prayer for him as he needs it to fully recover. This is the hardest part of rescuing, saying goodbyes or not even having that chance. They were loved unconditionally and will be missed forever.
