Exotics experience…in progress
Case Study of a current client, shared with permission of the owner.
Rubis is a 5 year old bull who is currently down and having some difficulty! His owners are doing everything in their power to get him back up and healthy while they consult with local and national specialist vets.
His case is a mystery currently, but what we do know and have assessed is that his range of motion while flexing his neck is reduced on his left side, he shows significant reduction in reaction to stimuli, and when assisted with standing his front legs and shoulders appeared to have decreased significantly in normal range of motion, causing him to be unable to straighten his legs which is stopping him from standing on his own.
With vet permission we addressed some pain in his shoulders, neck and poll. He showed us signs of relaxation, and showed us fight when he was upset. We treated him while down, then while lifted, we worked to flex and stretch his front legs while also encouraging him to put any weight on them while in a good position.
He is eating, drinking and has good spirits, so his owners are willing to do and try anything to help him. More to come on this big guy, thank you for being a good patient as I expand my experience.
