It’s been brought to my attention that there are a few posts/advertisements out there regarding ordering t shirts and other merchandise from Hursh Vet Services. Please disregard, those are scams. We currently do not have any merchandise, sorry for any confusion!

We are having an equine special the month of May!
All teeth floats and horse vaccines will be 20% off the entire month of May. Get your horses protected in time for mosquito season and traveling. We will help determine what vaccine is right for your horse.
Please call or text 307-920-0074 for all inquiries and to get on the schedule

The first day of spring is less than a month away! 🌸
Which means…it's time to schedule your equine companion to receive their spring vaccinations!

If you are wondering what vaccinations your equine friend should receive, the answer is — There are no “one size fits all” vaccine recommendations. A veterinarian who knows your animal and your management system is your best resource to recommend what vaccines your equine should receive and with what frequency!

While vaccination does not prevent disease in all circumstances, a good immunization protocol minimizes the risk of infection and remains an essential component of responsible ownership. A vaccination appointment is also the perfect opportunity for a yearly check-up of your equine friend and a great way to catch any health concerns early.

If you have yet to contact your veterinarian about scheduling vaccinations, we encourage you to do it soon!

Spring is in the air! 🌸

With the weather warming up, now is the time to get your critters on flea/tick preventatives.
Fleas and ticks can carry deadly diseases, which is why prevention is important!
We have an online pharmacy now. Once you place an order and Dr. Hursh approves it, it will be shipped directly to your house.
We recommend Bravecto chews for dogs and topical for cats, which both provide 2-3 months of protection against fleas and ticks with one application/dose.
Click on the link below!
*please note, we must have an active vet-client-patient relationship (see you and your pet within the last year) to get your order approved.

Squamous cell carcinoma, aka cancer eye, is the most common tumor involving eyes in cattle. Especially cattle with white faces and pigmentation. These tumors are highly aggressive and invade into surrounding tissues. Treatment involves cryotherapy for small tumors or removal of the entire globe and globe contents, pending tumor location and degree of invasion. Even with removal, they can still recur. This cow below had an extensive squamous cell carcinoma necessitating enucleation of the globe and globe contents. This procedure can be done in the field. Cattle are truly tough amazing creatures!
