🐾 Just a few years in, and we realized we never properly introduced ourselves!
If you've been following Jax Pet Services, you've probably seen plenty of happy dogs, muddy paws, enrichment activities, celebrations, and all the craziness that comes with what we do. But you may not know much about the people behind it all!
We're Ryan and Arysta, the husband-and-wife team who own and operate Jax Pet Services LLC.
Believe it or not, Jax started as a little side gig because Arysta wanted "just one more dog." (I'm sure plenty of dog lovers can relate! 😂)
Arysta has had a lifelong passion for animals. Growing up surrounded by horses and dogs, much of her childhood was spent riding, rodeoing, and simply enjoying their company. Working with animals was always something close to her heart, but turning that passion into a business was a whole different leap of faith.
And that's where Ryan comes in.
Until just a few months ago, Ryan was working a corporate job while still putting in the hours with the dogs. He was there through the long days, late nights, growing responsibilities, and all the uncertainty that comes with trying to turn an idea into something sustainable.
More importantly, he believed in the dream. When it got tough and Arysta may have had doubts, questions, and plenty of reasons to play it safe, he helped put those doubts aside and encouraged us to take a chance on what we could build together. His support, hard work, and willingness to believe in something before we knew exactly where it would lead were a huge part of getting us here.
And while the two of us may be the faces behind Jax, we're certainly not the only ones keeping things moving!
Our two young adult sons are an important part of this operation, too. From cleaning rooms, yards, and maintaining the property, to stepping in to care for the dogs when life calls us away for a little while, they help keep everything running. It's not always the glamorous side of working with dogs, but it's the work that makes everything possible. We're grateful to have them as part of this family effort.
And let's not forget the youngest member of our team! Our daughter brings plenty of love, snuggles, and enthusiasm to the operation. She has her own special role in making sure the dogs get the attention and care they deserve and if you ask her- she will be taking this over when we retire!
What started as a side gig in a small house with a tiny backyard in Cabezon, Rio Rancho, eventually became something neither of us could have imagined. Years later, we've grown into a two-acre property here in Rio Rancho, and that little side gig has become our family business and a huge part of our lives.
Together, we've built Jax into a place where dogs can feel at home, enjoy personalized care, experience engaging enrichment, and receive the same love and compassion we give our own.
We offer Day Camp, Overnight Pet Sitting in our home, Drop-In Visits in your home, House Calls, and more. Caring for everything from dogs, cats, reptiles, equestrians, exotics and more. But beyond the services, the animals, and the property, Jax is something we've built together through trust, hard work, sacrifice, encouragement, and a whole lot of love.
We're not a big commercial facility, and we never set out to be. We're a family who took a chance on a dream and built something we're incredibly proud of.
To our clients who have been here since the beginning, and those who have joined our Jax family along the way, thank you. Your trust has helped make this possible, and we never take that for granted.
So, after years of showing you everyone else's dogs, we figured it was finally time to put some faces to the names!
