Last week, members of our team had the opportunity to attend a Continuing Education Conference in Nashville! 🐶🐱

Our CVT and veterinarians are always looking for opportunities to learn, grow, and stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in veterinary medicine. Continuing education allows us to bring new knowledge, techniques, and ideas back to our clinic so we can continue providing the best possible care for your pets. ❤️

We’re proud to have a team that believes learning never stops! 🩺✨

A big thank you to everyone who makes continuing education opportunities like this possible—and to our wonderful clients for trusting us with the pets you love most. 🐾

Your pets deserve a team that never stops learning. 💕

🐶🐱 When was your pet’s last wellness exam? 🩺❤️

If you had to stop and think about it…this is your sign to check! 👀

Pets are incredibly good at hiding illness, which means they can sometimes look perfectly healthy while something is developing beneath the surface.

Routine veterinary visits help us catch potential problems before they become bigger problems. 🐾

✔️ Wellness exams
✔️ Vaccinations
✔️ Preventative care
✔️ Dental health
✔️ Parasite prevention
✔️ Senior pet care
✔️ Sick visits

Your pet deserves more than just care when they’re sick — they deserve preventative care that helps them live their healthiest life. 💕

August brings plenty of sunshine—but it also brings itchy pets! Just like people, dogs and cats can suffer from environmental allergies caused by pollen, grasses, weeds, mold, and even flea bites.

Common signs of allergies include:
🐶 Excessive scratching or licking
🐱 Chewing at paws
👂 Frequent ear infections or head shaking
❤️ Red, irritated skin
😣 Hair loss or hot spots

While it may be tempting to reach for over-the-counter allergy medications, many human allergy products can be unsafe for pets or may mask an underlying problem without treating the cause. Some medications can even be toxic depending on the ingredient or dosage.

If your pet is showing signs of allergies, the best first step is a veterinary examination. We can determine what’s causing the itching and recommend a safe, effective treatment plan tailored to your pet’s needs.

💚 Don’t let your furry family member spend the rest of summer uncomfortable. If you’ve noticed increased scratching, licking, or skin irritation, give us a call to schedule an appointment!

Have questions about what medications are safe for your pet? We’re always happy to help—just ask before giving any over-the-counter products.

Please be sure to keep your pets safely contained!

📢 Important Boarding Services Update 📢

Due to current staffing challenges and ongoing facility improvements, we will be temporarily suspending acceptance of new boarding reservations until further notice.

Please know that all existing boarding reservations will be honored as scheduled, and our team remains committed to providing the highest level of care for pets currently booked with us.

We understand this may cause inconvenience, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through these changes. If you are in need of boarding services during this time, we are happy to provide recommendations for trusted local boarding facilities or pet sitters upon request.

We will continue to keep our clients informed and will share updates as we make progress.

Thank you for your continued support and trust in our team. ❤️🐾

🐱 Parasite Prevention Isn’t Just for Outdoor Cats! 🐱

Did you know that BOTH indoor and outdoor cats are at risk for parasites year-round in Mississippi?

Mosquitoes, fleas, and other parasites thrive in our warm climate, even during the cooler months. Indoor cats can be exposed through open doors, windows, other pets in the household, or even parasites brought inside on our clothing and shoes.

Without consistent prevention, cats can be at risk for:
🦟 Heartworms
🪳 Fleas
🪱 Intestinal parasites such as roundworms and hookworms
👂 Ear mites

Many parasite infections can cause discomfort, illness, and in some cases serious health complications. The good news? Monthly prevention is a simple way to help protect your feline family member all year long.

In Mississippi, parasites don’t take a season off—so neither should prevention!

Not sure which parasite prevention is best for your cat? Give us a call. We’d be happy to help keep your furry friend protected and healthy every month of the year. ❤️🐾

🐾 Appointment Availability Update 🐾

We are incredibly grateful for the continued trust and support from our growing client & patient family! Due to an increase in appointments, our schedule is currently booking approximately 7–14 days in advance for routine preventive care visits.

To help ensure your pet stays on track with their vaccines, annual exams, heartworm testing, and preventive medications, we encourage scheduling appointments as early as possible.

If your pet is due for upcoming wellness care, please give us a call to reserve your spot. As always, we will continue to accommodate urgent medical concerns as availability allows.

Thank you for your patience and for allowing us to care for your furry family members! ❤️🐶🐱
