We are thrilled to recognize Melissa Calmes, our dedicated Practice Manager and Veterinary Technician, for her incredible contributions over the past five years! Melissa has been an invaluable asset to our team, ensuring the smooth operation of our practice while also providing exceptional care to our furry friends. Melissa has been with URGIVET since the day we opened and had been a vital part of the growth and success of our practice. Her passion lies with smush faced fur babies as she owns two English bulldogs and six French bulldogs.

Her expertise and compassion shine through in every aspect of her work, from managing the daily operations to personally caring for our patients. Melissa’s commitment to excellence and her warm approach make a positive impact on both our team and the pet owners we serve.

Today we would like to introduce Rachel Sanders in recognition of Vet Tech Appreciation Week. "I graduated from tech school in July 2021. Having grown up with police K9s and personal pets, I always knew I wanted to assist animals as a vet tech, making a positive impact on their lives. I genuinely cannot envision myself pursuing any other career. The most rewarding aspect of this job is witnessing animals recover and improve, knowing that I have made a difference and assisted not only the pet but also its family. Additionally, I appreciate working at the best emergency clinic with an exceptional work family 🩷".

In celebration of Vet Tech week, URGIVET Emergency Vets of Madison is proud to introduce you to our exceptional technicians. We will begin with Christina Gage, CVT. Relocating to MS in 2010. Embarking on her educational journey in 2015 to become a tech, she persevered through a second attempt and triumphantly obtained certification in 2018. Working with animals has always been her passion. "I can honestly say I love what I do."
