Meet Linda!

After a 35-year career in network maintenance for a Fortune 500 company, she transitioned into becoming a “professional” volunteer while continuing her work as a fitness instructor. She is active with her county’s Emergency Management Agency, Amateur Radio Emergency Service, and the Elks, and regularly lends a hand at festivals and races throughout the year, as well as ushering at several theaters.

Naborforce proved to be a perfect fit, offering the flexibility to work around her busy schedule while also providing an opportunity to supplement her retirement income. But for her, the greatest reward is meeting so many wonderful, interesting people—each one deeply appreciative of the service she provides.

Meet Bert, one of our deeply dedicated Nabors! With over 25 years in Older Adult Ministry at Welborne United Methodist Church—where he currently serves as Lay Leader and leads Congregational Care—Bert has spent decades supporting older adults. He’s also a trained Dementia Friends Champion and a leader in The Racial Justice Network.

Bert believes that simply being present and listening can bring real peace and joy to those in later stages of life. When he discovered Naborforce, he knew it was a perfect fit for his gifts. He finds true joy in hearing the life stories of his clients and offering meaningful companionship.

Bailey is one of our joyful, big-hearted Nabors who’s been with Naborforce for over a year! A recently retired nurse, Bailey spent much of her career caring for older adults, and was thrilled to discover Naborforce as a way to keep doing what she loves: connecting with and helping others.

Bailey says being a Nabor is a win-win—she has fun, her clients have fun, and meaningful moments happen every day. She’s met so many sweet and spirited clients, and finds real joy in supporting them, whether it’s through a ride, a helping hand, or simply great company.

And don’t be surprised if you catch her in costume—Bailey also plays in the whimsical Seed and Feed Marching Abominable Band, bringing energy and fun wherever she goes. She loves to dance, dress up, and brighten the lives of everyone around her. 🌟
