Meet Bethesda Nabor, Barbara!

I have been a Nabor for the past three years. It has been a wonderful opportunity to meet and assist so many amazing clients.

My background is in special education and human resources. I have always enjoyed giving back to the community. While working, I was responsible for the company's volunteer program and since retiring, have been a volunteer with Montgomery Hospice.

Some of my favorite things are reading, gardening, cooking delicious vegan food and spending time at the beach. I am a widow with one incredible daughter. We both love the beach and enjoy traveling together. We recently spent a week in Cancun.🌴

The little things...Like cooking!👩‍🍳The food always tastes better when you share it with someone else!

Paul and his regular Nabor, Anthony, are really getting into the holiday spirit!

Why did Karen become a Nabor?

Karen became a Nabor after caring for her mother with her brother in 2021. That experience showed her just how valuable a helping had can be, and how much of a difference it makes for families navigating their loved ones' journey.

Karen is responsible and compassionate, and has volunteered in grief support for over 10 years and became a certified health and life coach in 2022. As an empty nester, she was looking for meaningful part-time work that would allow her to continue learning, connect with others, and give back.

Naborforce has been the perfect fit for Karen and we’re so grateful to have her bringing connection and support to her community!

About last night...

With his Nabor, Judy, by his side, Dick was able to enjoy his community's happy hour. The evening was filled with good conversation, familiar faces, and lots of smiles. Judy loved spending time with Dick and had the added bonus of meeting his son and a great group of friends.

A fun night out and great company. We can’t wait to see Dick again soon!

Meet Marta! 🌟

Marta may be new to Richmond, but she’s already jumping right into the community. After moving here from small-town Berryville to be closer to her first grandbaby (with a second on the way!), she wanted something meaningful, flexible, and fun.

“My daughter, Maris, was a Nabor a few years ago and really enjoyed it. I’ve been looking for a fulfilling experience and the flexibility is perfect for me. At 62, I feel like I’m in a great position to relate to and converse with the people I visit. I thought the whole concept was such a much-needed service.”

Marta loves meeting new people and getting to know Richmond. We’re so happy she chose to become a Nabor—and we know our clients will be too!💕
