Honey definitely won best dressed 🏆 when she visited recently for her annual exam, rabies vaccine, and lab work. 😻

Cats need annual veterinary exams for:
•preventive care & early detection of treatable diseases (such as kidney disease, thyroid conditions, and dental disease)
•vaccination updates
•parasite prevention

Yearly checkups allow veterinarians to detect subtle changes early and establish baseline health records.🩺

She has officially graduated from the first portion of her journey to becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician! Today, we celebrated her achievement with a little surprise party after a long day in surgery with Dr. Merk and tech Lucy.

We are so proud of her hard work, dedication, and passion, and we can’t wait to watch her continue to grow and thrive in veterinary medicine. Her future is so bright! 💙🐾

Lucky us - we get to celebrate International Chihuahua Appreciation Day with Faye! 😊💕

Faye is a longtime patient who was recently diagnosed with diabetes after her awesome parents noticed she was losing weight and urinating excessively.

Dog diabetes (diabetes mellitus) is a chronic condition where the body cannot regulate blood sugar properly, typically requiring lifelong, twice-daily insulin injections and consistent, specialized care.

Common symptoms include:
•excessive thirst
•increased urination
•weight loss despite a good appetite
•lethargy

While not curable, most dogs with managed diabetes can live full, happy, and active lives. 🐾

If your pet is showing any of the above symptoms, don't hesitate to bring them in for an appointment ASAP! 🚨

Jam has perfected the head-tilt! 😍 She was in recently for her last round of puppy vaccines. She's growing up too fast! 🥹

Puppies typically need 3 rounds of vaccines for adequate protection from common contagious diseases. 🦠 During these visits, we also work to socialize and desensitize puppies (and kittens!) to veterinary staff & procedure (like nail trims and physical exams). Lots of love & treats make all the difference! 🐾💕

Longtime patient Daisy is currently here for a boarding stay! 💙

Daisy has been coming to The Vet House since she was adopted at approximately 1 year old. She's now 11! We removed her eye when she was approximately 2 years old when an ongoing medical issue wasn't resolving after much treatment and referral to the ophthalmologist. It doesn't slow her down at all! 😊
