We are thrilled to introduce our new full-time veterinarian, Dr. Yongyhan Kim! 👨🏻⚕️🩺
Dr. Kim was born and raised in South Korea, where he earned his veterinary degree in 2010. He began his career as a research veterinarian at a vaccine company, developing a strong interest in viral diseases and their transmission. Inspired by this passion, he pursued graduate studies at the University of Minnesota in 2014. 🎓
After earning his master's degree, Dr. Kim entered the Program for the Assessment of Veterinary Education Equivalence (PAVE) to become licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the United States. He successfully completed the Clinical Proficiency Examination program at Louisiana State University and has been practicing as a licensed veterinarian in the Dallas–Fort Worth area since 2021. 🐾
Dr. Kim and his wife enjoy life in North Texas with their beloved long-haired Dachshund, Yeo-rum, whose name means "summer" in Korean. 🐶
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Kim enjoys playing baseball, softball, and golf. He is also passionate about continuing education and staying up to date with the latest advances in small animal medicine to provide the highest quality care for his patients.
