Good morning, friends!! We have some exciting news to share with you!

Over the past couple of months, our grooming schedule has been busier than ever, with appointments sometimes booking out three weeks or more. We know many of you have also seen our "Help Wanted" posts.

Well... we have some fantastic news!

We didn't find just one talented groomer—we found TWO! 🐾🎉

That brings our grooming team to five amazing groomers! With a mix of full-time and part-time groomers, we'll now have two groomers available Monday through Friday and even more weekend appointment availability. This means shorter wait times and more opportunities to get your furry family members scheduled for the pampering they deserve!

Good morning, friends, and welcome to this week's Tail-Waggin Highlights Saturday, July 11th edition! 🐾

🎉I have to start with this week's most exciting news... We received our very first K-9 protective vest! 🎉

This custom-made vest was created specifically for Monticello Police Department’s K-9 Aron, and it is absolutely incredible. Not only will it provide Aron with vital protection while he's out doing his job, but it's also designed to be comfortable for him and easy for his handler to put on. The craftsmanship is amazing, and it's built to last throughout his entire career. Plus... let's be honest—it looks completely badass! 💙🐕‍🦺

We chose an amazing organization of Protecting K9 Heroes to have it costom made. This particular vest was made possible thanks to the generosity of one amazing local family who donated the full cost back in March. Since each vest is custom made, the process takes about three months from start to finish.

Now it's time to help us protect our next K-9. K-9 Voice of the Benton County Sheriff's Office! Byron has graciously offered to DOUBLE all of your boarding donations! That means every $1 per day your dog boards with us becomes $2 toward a new protective vest. Each completed vest costs just under $1,100, and we truly believe we can raise enough to provide two more vests this month!

If your pup isn't boarding with us this month but you'd still like to help, you can stop by the kennel during our regular business hours or mail a donation. Every single dollar gets us one step closer to keeping these incredible K-9 officers safe while they protect our communities. ❤️

And because apparently we don't know how to slow down... 🤪 we'll be in Brookston's parade today at 4:00 PM! If you're coming out, be sure to wave and say hello—we absolutely love seeing your smiling faces!

Good morning, friends!! Man, do we have a transformation to share with you today!

Did you know that your farm dogs and pups who spend most of their time outdoors can benefit from a pampering session too?

Meet the lovely Miss Mackey! She came in as what we lovingly call a "hot mess express," but just look at her now!

Byron started by tackling her grinch feet and potty area while I got her ready for what was probably the BEST deshed we've ever done. We spent about 45 minutes pre-brushing and trimming before moving on to two rounds of shampoo with our amazing products and deep conditioning treatment that help loosen and lift all that packed undercoat. Then our high-velocity dryer became the real MVP, reaching deep into her coat and releasing what seemed like endless amounts of floof! (Be sure to check out the video in the comments—it's too satisfying not to share!)

From start to finish, Mackey's spa day lasted right around three hours, and every minute was worth it. Not only was she an absolute angel through the entire process, but you could tell she felt so much better by the time we were done. She looks absolutely beautiful!

Thank you for trusting us with your sweet girl, Mackey, and for putting up with all of our grooming shenanigans!

Meet our sweet friend, Ruth! Ruth and her brother, Bo (who we highlighted last week), love coming in for their regular pampering sessions. From the bubbly bath to all the one-on-one attention, she soaks up every minute of her spa day!

I've been a bit skeptical about using the thunder shirt. Millie really dislikes storms & fireworks. We usually end up medicating her. Just now I decided to give the shirt a try. See results below! Millie gives it 4 paws up (or down)! Bought ours from Chewy and highly recommend!
