Our furry crew loves pumpkin season — but we do have one little request!
While painted pumpkins are beautiful, we cannot accept any with paint on them.
The animals usually eat the inside of the pumpkin, but just in case they decide to nibble on the outside, we want to make sure everything they get is completely safe and paint-free. 💛

We’re also always accepting fruits and vegetables of any kind — someone out here will happily munch on it! 🍎🥕🍉

📍 Drop-off location:
148 JACQUES ST., Reserve, LA
Just place your goodies by the side door, and we’ll take it from there!

Thank you for helping keep our herd (and flock!) happy, healthy, and well-fed this fall! 🧡

Fun Fact Friday!

Highland cows have built-in winter jackets! Their long, shaggy hair is so warm that they actually have a thinner layer of body fat than most other cattle. They’re basically the coziest cows on Earth. 🐮🧣✨

We wanted to share some sad news with all of you who have followed and loved our Patagonian maras. Our sweet Boomer passed away a few days ago. We think he may have had an obstruction from eating something he shouldn’t have, but we aren’t certain.

Boomer was such a good boy — gentle, curious, and always by my side. He will be so deeply missed. Birdie has been a bit lonely without her buddy, so we’re hoping to find her another companion soon. The closest one we’ve found so far is 7 hours away in Florida, and we’re doing our best to make that happen.

Thank you to everyone who has shared in the love of our animals. Your kindness and support mean so much to us. 💛

🌧️ Halloween Bash Update – Event Canceled Today 😭

Hi everyone — we are so disappointed to share that our Halloween Bash at Bivin Family Farm is canceled today due to the weather. Even if the rain holds off this afternoon, the grounds would simply be too wet and we would not be able to safely or comfortably get everything set up in time.

Our plan is to reschedule for Wednesday, October 29th from 4:00–6:30 PM.
With it getting dark earlier, it’s difficult to go later in the evening since we do not have lighting in the back area.

Before we make this date final, we need to hear from everyone who was signed up for today.
Please reply and let us know one of the following:

✔️ Yes — Wednesday works for us!
❌ No — Wednesday will not work.
If Wednesday doesn’t work:
• You may use your credit toward our December 6th event, or
• We can hold your credit for a future session/event.

We are truly so sorry — we had so many fun things planned and were so excited to host everyone today. Thank you for understanding, and we hope to see you all soon. 🧡🎃

🌧️ ☔️ Hi everyone! We have been watching the weather very closely and it does look like we will be getting a good bit of rain. As of now, we do still plan to move forward with the Bivin Family Farm Halloween Bash tomorrow. However, we will reassess the weather in the morning and make a final decision by noon.

If we do need to cancel due to weather, we will reschedule the event for Wednesday, October 28th from 5:00pm–7:00pm.

If the rescheduled date does not work for you, your payment can be used as a credit toward:
• our December 6th Christmas event
• a cow cuddle session
• bottle feeding
• a farm party
• or any future visit/experience here at the farm

Also, if you already know you will not be attending tomorrow, please just send us a quick message so we can plan accordingly. If you cannot make the rescheduled date as well please let us know.

Thank y’all so much — we are excited to celebrate with you and appreciate your flexibility as we work around Louisiana weather! 🎃🐄🧡

🌾🎃 BIVIN FAMILY FARM Halloween Bash! 🎃🌾

We’re so excited to welcome everyone who signed up for our Halloween Bash tomorrow, October 24th, from 4 PM to 6 PM!

Before you arrive, please take a moment to read through this important information 👇

🚗 Parking

1️⃣ Please do not park on the street.
Use our driveway and the field next to the driveway first.
Once those are full, you may park in our front yard.
🚫 Do not block the street or park in other people’s driveways or yards.

⏰ Event Times

2️⃣ The event officially begins at 4:00 PM and ends at 6:00 PM.
Please do not visit the animals or vendors before 4:00 PM.
We ask that everyone exit by 6:00 PM so our volunteers and animals can rest.

🐐 Animal Interaction Guidelines

3️⃣ Our animals love attention, but please handle them gently!
• You’re welcome to brush, pet, and love on them, but do not pick them up or chase them.
• Adults, please lead by example — if you pick up an animal, little ones think they can too.
• Feel free to sit down and let them climb on you, but do not stand and carry them.
We reserve the right to ask anyone not following these rules to leave to ensure the safety of our animals and guests. 🐰🐥🐐

💥 Please be sure that you and all guest remain in the area that the animals and vendors are set up in. Please do not explore the grounds around. This is for your safety and the safety of everyone around. We do have electric fences in places, so please do not go anywhere that the event is not set up at. 💥

148 Jacques St., Reserve, LA 70084

👉 Important Note: GPS sometimes leads guests to Don’s Country Store on Central.
To find us correctly:
• Go down to River Road,

• Follow that street until it turns into Jacques St. — you’ll find us there!
