The more I look at this, the more I try to guess what’s in there 🫣 Venom is unimpressed that he’s not getting his normal dinner. He had 1 cup of his food soaked into 2 cups of water and blended. He lapped it right up ofcourse and just looked at me like “where’s the cronch lady?!” He’s always such a good eater he’s gonna be upset with me all weekend. But doc’s orders. Had a cerenia pill with dinner 🤞🏼 he keeps it down. I’m going to feed him several times a day small meals in hopes I can try to keep up with his appetite. As you can see in the rad he is super lean as he is going through a growth spurt. 🫣😅

As of now we’re totally okay. He’s playing and being rotten as usual. 🤣

Venom and I are on our way home from the vet. The radiologist suggested ultrasound and/or barium study. Vet performed ultrasound and confirmed the blockage. Venom has kept water down so vet felt confident he could make it to Monday for surgery as they didn’t have time today to do it. I do not have a very trusting relationship with the vet hospitals around here so I agreed to take him home on meds and strict instructions/observation. If anything changes over the weekend we will be at Purdue stat. But for now it’s home for lots of snuggles, worrying over him, and making him dog food soup 🤞🏼❤️‍🩹

Update, Venom was nauseous upon physical exam but not dehydrated and all good things. Vet felt something hard, did rads, intestines are clear but something is stuck in his stomach. Rads are being sent out to a radiologist for consult. May need to go to specialty hospitial for a scope and or possible exploratory surgery.

Thankfully he’s not showing any symptoms except vomiting so this is best case for a blockage. I just knew something wasn’t right even if he was still being a rambunctious teenager. Should have another update soon.
