It’s sticky, it’s sweet, and it’s made entirely by bees—meet the magical marvel known as honeycomb!
LEARN:
- Bees build honeycomb from wax they produce themselves, creating perfect hexagons for storing honey and raising baby bees.
- Honey has natural antibacterial properties and has been used for centuries to soothe sore throats, heal wounds, and give a quick energy boost.
- Raw honey also contains bits of pollen and enzymes that can support digestion and immunity!
DO:
- Spread a little raw honey on toast or mix it into warm tea for a natural sweetener.
- Make beeswax candles or crayons from melted comb scraps (with grown-up help!).
- Use it in a taste test: compare honey from different flowers and write down how the flavors differ.
- Try chewing a small piece of the waxy comb—it’s edible and fun to explore! 🌱🌸
