Honey Update 🐾

Some stories reach deep into your heart, and Honey is one of them. Watching this sweet girl continue to fight while still showing so much love and trust is enough to bring tears and “awwws” all at once.

We are beyond grateful to everyone who has shared her story, sent encouraging messages, prayed, and donated toward her medical care. Because of your support, Honey was able to attend her initial appointment to help stabilize her condition and begin getting the care she deserves.

This week, Honey will be seeing an orthopedic specialist as we continue searching for answers and the best path forward for her healing journey.

Every act of kindness has helped carry Honey one step closer to comfort and recovery. Donations are still being accepted to help with her upcoming specialist appointment and continued medical needs. If you would like to help, please send donations to Berks Cats in Crisis, PO Box 723, Reading PA 19607 or paypal.me/berkscatsincrisis.

Thank you for believing in Honey and reminding her that she is finally safe, loved, and not alone. 💕

Little Honey continues to fight harder than any kitten her size should have to.

Yesterday, a vet visit was urgently scheduled for Honey after she become sick and throwing up what appeared to be bloody bile.
At only an estimated 6 weeks old and weighing less than a pound, Honey was incredibly fragile, so the priority was getting her stabilized before pursuing additional diagnostics and lab work. They did find that heavy parasites were likely the cause to her sickness. She received fluids, tummy medications, dewormer, and was started on a GI diet to help her little body recover.

We are so grateful for the foster and care she is getting by our friends at Kitty Salvation. They reported that Honey is eating much better, and overall seems brighter and more comfortable since her appointment.

Honey is scheduled with orthopedics next Tuesday for X-rays and hopefully answers regarding her physical condition and mobility concerns. She will need specialty appointments, imaging, medications, and ongoing supportive care ahead.

Bcic is funding all Honeys medical care. If you would like to help Honey, donations can be sent to: Berks Cats in Crisis, PO Box 723, Reading, PA 19607 or paypal.me/berkscatsincrisis

This tiny fuzzy baby was found struggling outside in Womelsdorf and brought to safety. Meet Honey!

Next week, Honey will be seeing our veterinary team for a full evaluation. At this point, we still don’t know if what we’re seeing is the result of a birth deformity or a traumatic injury. What we do know is that she deserves every chance possible.

Despite everything, Honey is purring, snuggling, and soaking up love like she’s always known kindness. These are the cases that remind us why rescue matters so much.

Her care will include exams, diagnostics, possible imaging, medications, and ongoing support and we cannot do it alone. Donations of any size help us to provide care to kittens like Honey when they need us most.

Please consider donating to support Honey’s medical care and recovery journey. Donations can be made to Berks Cats in Crisis, PO Box 723, Reading PA 19607 or paypal.me/berkscatsincrisis. Your support truly changes lives.

Thank you for loving the broken, the forgotten, and the ones who need a little extra help. Honey has a whole community behind her now. More updates soon as we learn more about this precious girl.
