Little Honey continues to fight harder than any kitten her size should have to.
Yesterday, a vet visit was urgently scheduled for Honey after she become sick and throwing up what appeared to be bloody bile.
At only an estimated 6 weeks old and weighing less than a pound, Honey was incredibly fragile, so the priority was getting her stabilized before pursuing additional diagnostics and lab work. They did find that heavy parasites were likely the cause to her sickness. She received fluids, tummy medications, dewormer, and was started on a GI diet to help her little body recover.
We are so grateful for the foster and care she is getting by our friends at Kitty Salvation. They reported that Honey is eating much better, and overall seems brighter and more comfortable since her appointment.
Honey is scheduled with orthopedics next Tuesday for X-rays and hopefully answers regarding her physical condition and mobility concerns. She will need specialty appointments, imaging, medications, and ongoing supportive care ahead.
Bcic is funding all Honeys medical care. If you would like to help Honey, donations can be sent to: Berks Cats in Crisis, PO Box 723, Reading, PA 19607 or paypal.me/berkscatsincrisis
