I take a positive reinforcement approach to training, which means my focus is on rewarding and encouraging the behaviors we want to see, rather than punishing the ones we don’t. Positive reinforcement is grounded in modern animal behavior science and emphasizes clear communication, trust, and mutual respect between you and your dog.
This means I do not use any tools or methods that rely on fear, pain, or intimidation—no choke chains, prong collars, or shock devices. Instead, I use rewards that matter to your dog, whether that’s treats, toys, play, praise, or other forms of positive interaction. By pairing desired behaviors with something your dog values, we create a learning experience that is both enjoyable and effective.
My ultimate goal is to help you build a deeper connection with your dog—one rooted in understanding and cooperation. When your dog feels safe, understood, and motivated, they’re more likely to make good choices on their own, without the need for constant micromanagement. This doesn’t just lead to better behavior; it leads to a relationship where both you and your dog feel more in tune with each other.
