Sweet Pea update!
Erika and Sweet Pea have almost finished their first year in pack goat project in 4-H. They have both learned so much. They came over yesterday and with the help of Avery and my niece Ali and Nieghbor girl Paisley we practiced going through obstacles that Sweet Pea was having some trouble with and after the time was over she had it mastered and we also took out Jade and our yearling for Moon and they got to learn too! We all had lots of fun!

So for Dinner we had farm raised pork chops cooked slow with rosemary and butter, with beets and greens steamed with a splash of acv, butter,salt and pepper,
Cucumbers from the garden sliced and marinated with a sliced onion salt and pepper, garlic powder acv and water,
Also made zucchini fritters that turned out so amazing!!

Today’s harvest not a huge amount of one thing except zucchini but definitely plenty of food!!
Zucchini
Beets
Beet greens
Sugar rush peach peppers
Pickling cucumbers
Marketmore cucumbers
Green beans(Kentucky blue bush?)
Calendula flowers to dry for herbal medicines and healing teas.( will have limited dried available)

Onyx isn’t feeding the 2 black babies so I’m getting them on bottles sooner they are still staying with her she isn’t being terrible to them just pushes them away or walks away when they try to nurse she is super tentative to the brown one.
I believe this has to do with me missing the birth.
I have seen this happen when there is a huge delay between kids being born.
Not a huge deal except through a wrench in my plans of part time milking and bottle feeding so I don’t have to have someone milk and bottle feed when I’m camping.

If you are interested in a doeling or two let me know once I give them a few weeks of evaluation 2 of them will be available.
