As a manager of domestic animals in a zoological institution for many years, I always interacted with guests who would ask "can you help me with my dog?" I finally decided to take my years of hands on animal training skills and share my knowledge to better our community with more well behaved pets. San Diego Pet Training, Inc. was founded in 2006 offering group dog training classes, private in home appointments, training for television & stage. We are also in charge of all animal training for the Helen Woodward Animal Center and work with hundreds of adoptable animals each year!
After training thousands of dogs for more than 10 years in San Diego, CA, I decided to create an online course, Obedience in 3 Easy Steps, to share my methods beyond the scope of clients I can meet face to face.

Rob Kuty, President of San Diego Pet Training and Certified Master Dog Trainer, has been a professional animal trainer for more than 22 years. He manages all animal training for the Helen Woodward Animal Center and has worked at the Columbus Zoo, SeaWorld Florida and spent several years as the manager of the Pet’s Rule show at SeaWorld San Diego. Rob earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Youngstown State University. His experience includes working with dogs, cats, pigs, pigeons and exotic birds. Rob has made several appearances on the local news, has appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and was a guest on the Animal Planet’s Faithful Friends television show. Rob is a certified by the American Kennel Club to train and test for the Canine Good Citizen.
