If you’re going on an out-of-country guided hunt, don’t assume the guides know how to properly cape or skin an animal for taxidermy. Watch the turkey skinning video on my website before your trip, and stay there while they skin your animal to make sure it’s done right. A bad skin job can ruin a great trophy.

It was a busy weekend for Cody and I helping out our state associations. Cody traveled to New York to judge their state show. Meanwhile I helped as a board member of the Wyoming Association of Taxidermy Artists to facilitate a very successful show this year as well.
Here is a customer turkey I took out of show room to throw in commercial at the Wyoming show. It won 3rd place over all and the NWTF award.
I am going to start advertising one-on-one turkey classes soon for those interested in learning, stay tuned for more information on that.
