🐾 COMING SOON: Four Tiny Paws Looking for Forever Homes! 🐾

The countdown is on! Gertrude, Opal, Beatrix, and Lottie are 5-week-old kittens who will soon be looking for loving forever families through Moyer Animal Shelter in Powell, Wyoming.

Each of these little personalities is growing stronger every day:
🐱 Gertrude – Sweet, gentle, and loves to snuggle.
🐱 Opal – Playful, curious, and always ready for fun.
🐱 Beatrix – Bold, adventurous, and the first to explore.
🐱 Lottie – Calm, cozy, and purrs like a tiny engine.

While they’re not quite ready to head home yet, now is the perfect time to start following their journey! If you’re considering adding a kitten to your family, these four will be available soon for adoption or foster care.

Moyer Animal Shelter was proud to participate in the Park County Fair Parade as our community celebrated America’s 250th Anniversary! 🇺🇸🐾

Our parade entry celebrated something we believe every animal deserves the freedom to experience the love, safety, and comfort of a forever home.

We were honored to showcase a few amazing dogs and cat who were adopted from Moyer Animal Shelter. Seeing these happy, loved pets enjoying life with their families is the greatest reminder of why our mission matters.

If you’ve been thinking about adding a furry friend to your family, we’d love to meet you! We currently have wonderful cats and playful kittens looking for loving homes or foster families. Every adoption changes a life and creates space for us to help another animal in need.

🐾 How You Can Help Our Shelter During Ringworm Season 🐾

When most people hear the word ringworm, they think the worst…but the truth is that ringworm is a treatable fungal infection, not a worm, and with proper care, cats and kittens make a full recovery. ❤️

What many people don’t realize is that the biggest challenge isn’t treating ringworm, it’s finding enough space and loving homes for kittens while they heal.

Here’s how YOU can make a difference:

🏡 Become a Foster
Recovering kittens do best in a quiet home environment. Foster families help reduce stress, provide socialization, and free up shelter space for other animals in need.

🧺 Donate Supplies
We’re currently in need of:
• Laundry detergent
• Paper towels
• Clorox® disinfecting wipes
• Disposable gloves
• Disposable booties (shoe covers)
• Kitten food
• Monetary donations to help cover medications and veterinary care

🙋 Volunteer
Extra helping hands mean more time for cleaning, enrichment, and cuddles. Volunteers play a huge role in helping recovering kittens stay happy and socialized.

💙 Adopt a Recovering Cat or Kitten
Ringworm is treatable and curable. Choosing to adopt a pet receiving treatment gives them a loving home while opening kennel space for another animal in need.

🐾 These Sweet Kittens Need You. 🐾

Meet six incredible little survivors who are ready for a brighter future. ❤️

Three kittens are available for adoption today, and three more will be available after they are spayed—or they can head to a loving foster home right away.

These babies have already overcome so much in their short lives. They were separated from their mother far too young, lovingly bottle-fed and fostered, and then came to Moyer Animal Shelter in hopes of finding the families they deserve.

Now they’ve hit one more bump in the road. They are currently being treated for ringworm, a common and treatable fungal skin condition. While they receive excellent care at the shelter, what they truly need is the comfort, love, and security of a home while they heal.

No kitten should have to spend their days in a kennel when they could be curled up on a cozy blanket, purring in someone’s lap, and learning what it means to be loved.
