A peaceful and private boarding barn located in South Raleigh. Excellent care, safe facilities - surrounded by NCSU farmland.

8 12'x12' stalls, hot/cold wash rack, outdoor arena with lights, and lots of trails. We are unable to offer pasture board at this time.

BARN HELP NEEDED- SATURDAY MORNINGS ‼️

Hidden Heaven Farm 🏡 has an opening for barn help on Saturday mornings.

We are looking for a friendly, respectful, and dependable person with horse experience and reliable transportation. The ideal candidate enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in providing excellent care for horses and maintaining a clean, organized barn.

We have a wonderful barn family and a total of 8 horses.

Duties may include:
• Feeding 🪣 and watering horses
• Stall cleaning and barn chores🧹
• Turnout and daily horse care 🐴
• General barn maintenance 🚚

More hours may be available in the future.

Water troughs 💦 are cleaned and full 👍🏽 Hotter days are upon us‼️ When you’re on the farm and notice another horse 🐴 in distress other than your own, please don’t touch or handle them, please contact our owner Beth and Barn Manager Katelyn for assistance👍🏽. Never handle anything on your own 💯

Before trying to hydrate your horse 🐴 it is helpful to verify if your horse is actually dehydrated. Common indicators include:

•Skin Tent Test: Pinch a fold of skin on the shoulder. If it takes longer than 2–3 seconds to snap back, your horse may be dehydrated.

•Capillary Refill Time (CRT): Press your thumb against their gums. They should turn from white to pink in 1–2 seconds ⏰.

•Sticky or Dry Gums: Gums should feel wet and slick. Sunken Eyes 👁️ or dark, concentrated urine.

•Soak Their Feed: 🪣 Wetting their daily forage (hay, beet pulp, or pellets) is an excellent way to sneak extra moisture into their digestive tract during heatwaves or travel.

•Use Electrolytes: If your horse is sweating heavily from exercise, heat🥵, or travel, they lose vital minerals. Use supplements like Farnam Apple Elite Electrolyte to encourage them to drink and to replenish these losses.

HAPPY FRIDAY FARM FAMILY❗️

No matter what Farm Family 🏡 you know, let’s always support them. After our barn chores, Katelyn and I went out to enjoy the day ☀️ and support our local farmers nursery on opening day for blackberry picking. They still have a bunch of strawberries 🍓 left and blueberries 🫐 will be ready for picking soon. So after you get done loving up on your horses 🐴 at your favorite barn 😉 go out to Porters on 42 hwy and enjoy your day with loved ones‼️ Their homemade strawberry lemonade 🍓 and their ice cream is amazing 😋 along with their produce, jams 🫙 and honey 🍯.
