💕 Meet Mariska 💕

Beautiful Mariska is an 11-month-old calico girl with the sweetest doe eyes and a gentle soul to match. This lovely young lady has a serene disposition and an affectionate nature that makes her a joy to have around.

Mariska loves spending time with her people and is always happy to share her quiet companionship and gentle affection. One of her favorite pastimes is relaxing on a screened-in porch, watching squirrels and the world go by with quiet fascination.

She gets along wonderfully with the other cats in her foster home and has also done well with cat-friendly dogs, making her a great candidate for a variety of family situations.

If you're looking for a loving, easygoing companion with beauty, grace, and a heart full of affection, Mariska may be the perfect addition to your family.

Meet Xaviaer!!

When Xaviaer was rescued back in January, it was clear life had not been kind to him. We suspect this handsome boy had spent his entire life surviving outdoors on his own. At first glance, he looked almost cartoonish — his tiny little body weighed under 3 pounds, about the size of a 12-week-old kitten, yet he had the face of an adult cat. He arrived terribly sick with a severe URI, painfully underweight, and struggling just to get by.

As if that wasn’t enough, Xaviaer later developed a ruptured eardrum caused by large polyps hidden in his soft palate that were obstructing his breathing. Poor guy had likely been struggling to breathe normally for quite some time. Thankfully, after surgery, medical care, and lots of TLC in foster care, Xaviaer finally got the chance to feel what comfort and safety are like.

And now? His beautiful personality is shining brighter every day.
Xaviaer has blossomed into the most loving little gentleman. He’ll happily flop down at your feet, roll over for attention, and turn on his nonstop purr motor the moment you acknowledge him. He seems to adore everyone he meets and has fully embraced the indoor kitty lifestyle — regular meals, soft beds, and humans to love him suit him perfectly.
After surviving so much, Xaviaer is finally healthy, happy, and ready for the forever home he’s never had before. We would love nothing more than to see this incredibly deserving boy find a family of his very own — someone who will cherish him for the resilient, affectionate, and special cat he truly is.

Mabel is truly like a beloved family member you didn’t realize was missing. She has the sweetest, easiest personality and brings such a calm, loving presence wherever she goes.

Mabel deserves a family who will see just how wonderful she is and love her forever. She’s the kind of kitten that makes your home feel warmer just by being in it. 💕

We’ve got a full house of adorable cats and kittens at both of our partner PetSmart locations in Apex and Morrisville! If you’ve been thinking about adding a new furry family member (or two), now is the perfect time to come meet our wonderful adoptable kitties.

If you see a cat or kitten you’d like to meet, simply send in an adoption application and we’ll arrange a personal one-on-one meet and greet.

Many of these sweet cats have been with us since birth and have patiently waited for someone to choose them. They’re loving, social, and more than ready to finally find the forever homes they deserve. ❤️

Danish….Sweet with a Playful Twist 🐾
Danish is just as sweet as her name suggests—but don’t let that fool you, she’s got a fun, playful side too! She loves chasing toys and romping around with her foster friends, making every day a little more entertaining.
This little girl is also a big fan of mealtime (especially wet food!) and isn’t shy about helping clean up any leftovers. When playtime winds down, Danish is all about the love…offering generous face nudges, soothing purrs, and plenty of cuddles.
Danish should do wonderfully in a home with children and would love a family who can match her mix of sweetness and spunky energy. Because she’s still a young kitten, she’ll do best in a home with another young cat to keep her company, play, and help her continue to grow into a confident, happy companion.

Some posts are easy to write… this one isn’t.

These sweet kittens came to us as babies—tiny, wide-eyed, and full of promise. We’ve watched them grow, learn, and blossom into the most incredible young cats… and somehow, they’re still here.
They’re now almost a year old, and we just can’t understand how they’ve been overlooked. These aren’t “project” cats. They aren’t shy or difficult. They are the total package—social, affectionate, playful, and completely ready to walk into a home and steal hearts from day one.
They greet you. They seek you out. They curl up beside you like they’ve always belonged there. They love other cats, they love people… they just want someone to finally choose them.
While tiny kittens come and go, these babies have been waiting. Patiently. Quietly. Watching others get picked.

It’s their turn.

If you’ve been thinking about adopting, please take a moment to look at their faces. One of them might be the missing piece in your home—and they’re more than ready to love you for a lifetime.

We’d like to give a heartfelt shoutout 🙌🏻🙌🏻 to the Interact Club at Fuquay-Varina High School for their generous donation of approximately 110 lbs of dog food and 20 lbs of cat food to Paw Prints!

The Interact Club is built on the principle of “Service Above Self,” encouraging students to volunteer and make a positive impact in their community and beyond. The club is led by their teacher, Christine—one of our past adopters—who gave a loving home to her panther kitty, Neeko (formerly Cadbury).

We are so grateful for your kindness, effort, and support!

If you’re a teacher or community leader interested in helping our small rescue, we’d love to connect. Food donations are always greatly needed and appreciated.

Meet Alfie 🐾

Alfie is a sweet, approximately 7-month-old brown tabby with the biggest heart. This little love bug is happiest curled up on his foster mom’s lap, purring away—but if there’s no lap available, he’ll be right by your side, just happy to be near his person.

When he’s not soaking up affection, Alfie is busy being a playful kitten, wrestling and chasing around with his foster brothers, Chim Chim and Speed. He has the most gentle, loving personality and would make a wonderful addition to just about any home.

While Alfie would do well anywhere, we truly believe he would thrive in a home with another young cat to cuddle, chase, and grow up with.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will shower you with love and keep you smiling, Alfie might just be your perfect match 💛
