He’s baaaackkk! 😂

We’ve had so many people checking on Jake since his surgery, so I figured I’d give a little update here too. First off, thank y’all so much for all the prayers, texts, messages, and check-ins… we truly appreciate every one of them!

Jake actually took it pretty easy last week after getting home from the hospital Tuesday… mostly because I made him 🤣. Although he may have snuck out to the shop a couple times to finish up a few deer mounts 😂

Today was his first official day back in the shop since surgery! He still can’t lift anything yet, but he was pretty excited to get back to work and mount a fox squirrel today. Safe to say he’s happy to be back doing what he loves!

Hey everyone — Wanted to give a quick shop update!

This week didn’t quite go as planned… Jake had to have an unexpected emergency hernia repair and spent a few days in the hospital. Thankfully he’s back home now and doing okay, but he’s under strict orders from the surgeon to take it easy for a bit. That means no lifting, pulling, or anything that could mess with the repair while it heals over the next 4-6 weeks.

Because of that, we do need to make a temporary adjustment to our work flow. Some of the mammals and larger pieces that are next up to be mounted, those will unfortunately need to be pushed back for just a few weeks— until he can safely get back to working on those.

The good news is he can still work on small pieces and birds, so that’s what he’ll be focusing on in the meantime until he gets the all-clear to resume everything.

Jake truly wants to apologize for any delays this causes. This was completely unexpected, and ending up in the hospital definitely wasn’t part of the plan this week. He appreciates your patience and understanding more than you know!

Thanks so much for sticking with us — we’ll keep you updated as he recovers!

Edit to add— Our crew is still in the shop daily if you need to pick up or drop off! Jake will be in and out on a very limited basis for the next week.

Big congrats to AB on his 1st two turkeys... 6 days apart! 💥🦃
