Moving with her handler with no commands. Movement is implied, stopping and pulling guard to the rear is implied, getting off the escalator is implied. Independent thinking service dogs give their handlers more freedom of movement without having to worry about commanding their dog all the time.

Happy 5th Birthday to our beautiful Pearl!

Pearl was donated to us when she was five months old, and she began training as a Therapy dog by Blue Cords owner, Larinda. Together, they visited 911 centers and the VA. When founder Kevin's Service Dog retired, Pearl continued her training and advanced to become his psychiatric/stability and mobility service dog.

Today, she is well-known among the community not only because she accompanies Handler Kevin everywhere, from the grocery store to boats and cross-country trips via airplane, but also because she continues her work as a therapy dog, bringing joy to many.

Congratulations to Zola and Handler, our newest Service Dog graduates!

Zola is an amazing rescue dog who has exceeded all expectations as a service dog. She completed all of her obedience training, comfortably handled all socialization and new environment training, including elevators and escalators. She also mastered all tasks, including picking up dropped items, fetching emergency medications, administering deep pressure therapy, barking for assistance, and alerting her mom to changes in blood pressure.

We have no doubt this incredible team will continue to go far.

Sometimes, you gotta take your hat off and make sure the boogeyman is not hiding in the kennel.

This dog refused to go in the kennel until our trainer Kevin came along. It's all about trust. He crawled in there, looked around, and whispered to him "it's all clear".

Actually, he worked him very slowly, building trust and having fun. He eventually was able to go in, turn around, and wait to be released out.

We are excited to watch Tango grow!
