Latest update on Larinda!

We finally got approval and transport to rehab on Tuesday morning. They didn't waste any time getting in with occupational therapy (OT) and physical therapy (PT).

Wednesday morning they came in hot at 730am. She has 1.5 hours of PT and 1.5 hours of OT every day. Her team leaders are really great. She is making great improvement already. Her mindset is so much better. Being here made her realize it won't be that bad, no matter the outcome.

But rest assure, she is a fighter. She will not settle, she still not give in. While the pain and fear are great, her willingness to be better is greater.

For the next several weeks, she will be grinding hard to get to standing and walking again. While she goes through this, she wants you all to know how much she greatly appreciates your support. It is what drives her to be and do better.

If you would like to visit, please let me know. We will be scheduling visitation sessions. She still doesn't have much energy to go through her workouts and deal with a lot, so we will be scheduling hourly sessions for now.

If you would like to bring her your fur baby, you are welcome to. Service dogs do service dog things as required and taught. Pet dogs need a paper copy of their vaccines. If your are working any reactivity currently, we ask that you hold off until a later time with your pup. Therapy dogs are welcome as well but do require a paper copy of the vaccines. Pearl will be in the room with us unless I'm not there.

If you would like to get her flowers, please let me know as well. We would like to get her plants instead of cut flowers. I've got a list of plants she would like. I figured I would take this opportunity to fill her backyard with memories of the support and love she had through her hard time. That way every morning when she goes to water her garden, she will have a plant from each one of you. We just think this is better than a room full of flowers that will die before she leaves here. Also it will give her something to do each day and it gives her great joy.

We do apologize for the lack posts lately and we appreciate everyone's understanding as we navigate the recovery of Larinda's accident.

Don't let this stop you from reaching out for help with your fur babies needs. We are still open and running. You can email, call, or text us with your fur baby needs and we will get you scheduled and set up with a trainer.

Remember, all of our trainers hold the same standard and are trained the same way. They are professional, polite, and very knowledgeable.

Our office manager took a big step up to cover what Larinda normally handles, so if there is something she can't answer, please don't let that discourage you. I promise everything is consulted between Larinda and myself. You will get the help you need.

Again, thank you everyone for your love, support, and understanding. This has been very difficult to get through but I know we will be successful in the end.

Hey Blue Cord Family, where are my Fayetteville Woodpeckers fans at?

Due to the accident this past Friday, we will not be able to make it to the baseball game we had planned this coming Friday, the 22nd. We are going to donate 5 tickets to the first person who loves baseball and can use all 5 tickets. There is no cost. Send us a message with your email, and we will email you the 5 tickets to print out.

As for Larinda, she is doing better. We had some good work today and crushed some goals. Tomorrow brings another day to set goals and crush them. Thank you again for all of the love and support. You have definitely made this hard time easier and we appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts.

Dear Blue Cord family. Yesterday we had an unfortunate turn of events. Our wonderful leader Larinda was in a pretty bad head on collision while she was on her way to a client.

She is currently stable and in good spirits. The recovery time is currently unknown as well as her ability to walk. We are staying optimistic for the best outcome.

There will be some slight changes in scheduling as well as some possible trainer change up as we navigate through this. You can count on the professionalism of each trainer to remain unchanged as we help each one of you reach your goals.

If we have not reached out to you yet about your appointment, feel free to reach out to us. Please give us time and patience as we proceed through the unknown.
