🫧 Hello, my lovelies! I just wanted to make a quick post to keep everybody in the loop. There have been a lot lot lot of last minute reschedule requests and appointment requests over recent weeks that are very quickly becoming unmanageable to balance. As the weather warms up, shedding season is beginning and pups are ready to get out of their winter coats. Business picks up even more than usual for several months. P***y Paws is currently booking “ruffly” a month out for spa sessions and unable to take on new clients. Please keep this in mind when reaching out to book or reschedule. I will always reach out if a reasonable opening occurs. The best way to claim a spot for the day/time you’re looking for is keeping to a routine schedule and booking following appointment or two before leaving. Many already do this, and it definitely helps keep the hairy chaos a bit more in check. Thank you all so much for allowing me to pamper your fuzzy friends! I look forward to many fun, sunny, sudsy days ahead! ☀️🐾🧼

☀️ Hot pavement alert!
When it’s 85°F outside, asphalt can reach 130°F — hot enough to burn your pup’s paws in seconds.
Before you head out, do the 5-second hand test: if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for them 🐾

💙 Keep walks early or late, stick to grass or shaded paths, and always bring water. Your dog’s paws will thank you!

I say this out of love because if I could clone myself and do more, I sure would. That’s unfortunately not a thing, so:

The high number of requests for pups (especially my large fluffy fellas) that I haven’t seen in several months and last moment reschedules has prompted this reminder for the current holiday rush. The last two months of the year are always absolutely slammed. I am one person with finite time and limited physical energy. (Caffeine, good rest, and food only go so far.) I also have family I would like to spend more than an handful of hours with. The pups that see me routinely on 4-6-8 week schedules make their appointments before leaving, so most prime slots are already filled. Expecting a last second spot, especially at a specific day or time, is wildly unrealistic. I will offer what I can, and what’s left is up to chance. To avoid future disappointment, schedule your next one or two appointments (some folks do the whole year) before you leave, and come to them. On time. Line brush AND comb daily. I don’t want so have to shave a pup in freezing weather because its hair is glued to its skin or webbed together as a hidden knotted sheet under a top layer. And please please PLEASE, use flea and tick prevention year round, because those creepy crawlies are worse than ever the last couple of years thanks to our mild winters. And no one wants lyme or anaplasmosis.

Storm and Outages Update:

As of 6:45 am on 7/17/24. Cleanup from last evening's storm is ongoing, the damage was widespread across the county and will take some time to restore utility infrastructure. National Grid is working hard all across the county to tackle and repair the downed lines and replace poles from this storm. Please continue to be patient as they work through the day and into the night and alongside various highway departments and other agencies to restore power.

Use caution while driving this morning, there may be tree debris on the roadways.

Outages & Restoration:
We are currently monitoring a number of power outages throughout the county. We are in communication with National Grid and will update as we receive further information. They are working hard across the county to tackle the problem areas and restore power. Please be patient.

Please use caution while driving and never go near or drive over a downed line or tree.

Today's Weather Outlook:
The temperatures are projected to be in the high 80's today. Warren County is in the Marginal Risk category for severe storms today.

Report an Outage:
- Report a National Grid outages at (800) 867-5222

Stay safe during an outage:
- NEVER touch a downed wire / line, stay away!
- Keep freezers and refrigerators closed during outages
- Only use generators outdoors and away from windows
- Use a flashlight, not a candle
- Check on your neighbors and family members and pets
- Keep your mobile devices charged
- Plan to have replacement batteries on hand
- Have a plan to relocate safely if lengthy outages occur

My loves, it has been a very difficult weekend for a very dear friend and the Classy Clip family. I am thankful to everyone for understanding and sharing their love and support. I’m doing my best to get back to everyone as I can. Your kindness and patience is treasured. Please hug your loved ones and be gentle with yourselves.
