Puyallup Animal Rescue We are a nonprofit rescue group of volunteers in Pierce County, WA dedicated to finding permanent homes for cats and dogs.

We are a nonprofit rescue group dedicated to finding permanent homes for homeless dogs and cats in Pierce County, Washington. We do not operate out of a shelter, instead we rely on our network of foster homes to care for our animals until they are adopted. ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS
The first step, if you are interested in adopting one of our dogs or cats, is to fill out and submit an adoption applicat

ion. You can request an application by emailing us. A volunteer will contact you after it has been submitted to speak with you about your application and about the pet you are applying to adopt. If you rent, we require your landlord's permission to adopt a dog or a cat. We require a completely fenced yard to adopt a dog. All adopters must agree to and sign an adoption agreement. We do not adopt out pets as gifts unless the recipient is there to pick out the pet themselves. All pets are spayed or neutered before adoption. ADOPTION FEES
Kittens & adult cats are $175.00

Cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, microchipped, treated for parasites, tested for FIV and Felv, and are given the vaccinations for Feline Rhinotracheitis, Calici Virus, Panleukopenia, and Rabies (If 4 months of age or older). Dogs and Puppies are $300.00 with an additional $50.00 obedience training refundable deposit. When you complete an accredited obedience class with your new dog we will send you back the $50.00 deposit. Dogs and puppies are spayed or neutered, microchipped, treated for parasites, and are given the vaccinations for Distemper, Parvo, and Rabies (If 4 months of age or older). ADOPTION EVENT LOCATIONS
Our rescue partners with the Petsmart in Sunrise Village located at:
10309 156th St E,
Puyallup, WA 98373. Our adoptable cats and kittens are at the Sunrise PetSmart every day for potential adopters to meet with and visit in the cat room. Some of our adoptable cats stay in foster homes and so they are not available for viewing at PetSmart. Please check our Petfinder Pet List to see all of our cats that are available for adoption. Our adoptable dogs are in foster homes and they are brought to adoption events which are normally on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month at the Sunrise PetSmart. Dogs are also brought to PetSmart's special adoption events. Please contact us and not PetSmart to verify adoption status if you are interested in a specific pet. VOLUNTEERING
We are a foster home-based adoption agency for our dogs and cats. We rely on our network of volunteers to care for the animals until they find permanent homes. If you would like to foster for us, please email us and request a foster application! Frankie is a 2 year old, spayed female, shorthair, orange tabby with white domestic shorthair.

Frankie is a 2 year old, spayed female, shorthair, orange tabby with white cat.

She is fun, affectionate, and playful!

Are they skittish or confident? She can definitely be both. She definitely loves her food and toys

She enjoys sunning herself in the window and watching the world. Frankie can be held, however she prefers to snuggle and sit on her people’s laps.

She does not like fast movements or people reaching to fast for her. She needs a family would is patient with her.

She is a young cat would is still active and playful, but she knows how to relax. She loves to play and chase after the feather wand toys.

Frankie has lives with cats before, and will need a very slow, gradual introduction to new cats in the future.

She would prefer a home without dogs.

She has meet children in her foster home, ages 8 and 12. She loves spending time with them as long as they are respectful.

Frankie would love a family would can spend time with her playing or just hanging out with her. She appreciates the company of respectful children. She does like having her own space, still she does not like being left alone.

Her adoption fee is $200.

All cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested for FIV&felv, and have been treated for parasites.

Missy is a 7-year-old Chiweenie with a heart full of love and a one-of-a-kind look. She has a small scar on her head from a puppyhood accident where the hair never grew back—her own little badge of uniqueness!
Missy can be shy at first and needs a little time to warm up to new people, but once she trusts you, she’ll shower you with affection and become your devoted companion. She’s fine with other dogs, but cats are not her cup of tea. She’s never been around children, so a calm, adult home would be best for her.
Missy is spayed, up to date on vaccines, housebroken, and ready to join a loving home. She’s not leash trained, so a secure yard or someone willing to work with her on walking would be ideal.
If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal, and affectionate dog to share your days, Missy might just be your perfect match.

Lisa is a 4 month old, spayed female, dilute tortie, shorthair kitten.

Lisa surprises her foster parents with her silly antics, even though she is usually quiet and reserved. She appreciates some time alone, but also loves to come say hello and get treats or cuddles from people!

Lisa also loves to climb the cat trees and explore in her foster home. She finds all the best unusual nap spots too!

Lisa is very easygoing, and not very skittish. She has a good attitude about most things, so she isn’t bothered by the day to day activity in her foster home. She is calm and likes to slowly take in her surroundings before exploring.

And although she doesn’t seek out being picked up, she really enjoys being held for naps or rest times. Lisa loves to sit in laps and being held while she naps.

Lisa loves snuggling with her siblings. She also appreciates being held and snuggled by the people in her foster home, often curling up in a lap for midday naps.

Lisa really likes toy mice and other toys that she can carry around.

Lisa has a very calm energy level. Though, at times she will run around with her siblings and get the zoomies.

Lisa has done well understanding the body language of adult cats in her foster home and shares a space with them respectfully. She is very interested in what they are doing and will watch them from a distance.

***Lisa would prefer to be adopted with one of her littermates or to a home that already has a young, friendly cat who she can be friends with! She tends to play with and snuggle her sister, Maggie. They would love to be adopted as a pair!

She is comfortable with children in her foster home, ages 7 & 11 years old.

Lisa is very sweet and calm. She would love a home that is understanding of her calm and slower approach to exploring. She would also like a household that is willing to reassure and encourage her in play and settling into her home.

Her adoption fee is $250.
