Russell’s tail says it all 🐾
He has a complete rupture of the left Achilles tendon, which left him plantigrade. His initial cast wasn’t done by us, so when the brace fit wasn’t ideal due to the cast angle, they came in for recasting. Derrick recast Russell’s leg at the correct angle and rebuilt a custom tarsal brace.
He took to it immediately and made all of us so happy 💛

Life With Pigs Farm Sanctuary reached out to Derrick about Quincy. He lost a toe, so we’re here building a prosthetic to help support him.

We are proud to announce that Bionic Pets/Bionic Barn recently acquired 18 beautiful acres of land in purcellville/hillsboro, VA and we are in the process of getting permits to build all of our facilities that will include a new limb lab, treehouse schoolhouse, Airbnb, etc. this will take 1-2 years to build but we are so excited to get the bionic pets campus all started. Dreams do come true and animals are@going to benefit greatly.

This year we are helping this amazing dude from with a prosthesis for his leg that had two toes amputated. Gobblegobble.

Nox came in today to get fitted for his tarsal brace on the other leg and he filled our hearts with joy before heading home happy. He’s a Beagle mix who needed support for his hind right leg, both the knee and the hock, so Derrick designed a combined brace for him. Later on, he needed a brace for his left leg as well. He’s truly the happiest, cutest boy, and we love seeing him every time.

He came to us with a severely deformed front leg and was already scheduled for surgery but Derrick designed an able-bodied prosthetic that matched his unique anatomy. The moment he tried it on, he walked right out of that amputation plan.
