On Monday, January 6th, a concerned client called about her dog, who was struggling to p*e, had blood in her urine, and seemed very uncomfortable.

Despite the snowy weather and poor road conditions, the client recognized the urgency and brought her dog to see Dr. Masood. X-rays revealed a large kidney stone near the bladder, which could have ruptured without immediate surgery. Although it was already 1 PM, past Dr. Masood’s usual surgery schedule, he prioritized the dog’s well-being and agreed to proceed that day.

Dr. Masood’s commitment to relieving his patient’s suffering was unwavering. He reassured the client throughout the process, answering questions and providing support.

Thanks to his dedication and the quick action of everyone involved, the surgery was a success. After a night of recovery, the dog was back to her happy, healthy self!

Meet Dr. Masood: Our Compassionate Chief of Staff 🌟

We are thrilled to introduce Dr. Masood, the heart and soul behind NOVA Pets Health Center! With over 30 years of experience in veterinary medicine, Dr. Masood is renowned for his caring and compassionate approach. He always prioritizes the health of his patients and the happiness of their owners, treating every client like family. 🐾❤️

Practicing since 1985, Dr. Masood has a special expertise in avian care and has spent 10 years providing medical attention to zoo animals, ranging from monkeys to elephants. He completed a post-veterinary graduate internship at Cornell University’s Hospital for Animals and is a proud member of The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). Dr. Masood currently lives in South Riding with his wife, children, and pets Pocket, Lola, Max, and Obee.

In his spare time, he enjoys family vacations, swimming, gardening, and writing. His belief in love and compassion shines through in his practice, making a positive impact on the health and well-being of every pet he treats. 🩺🐶🐱
