Adopted in September 2024, Bullfrog quickly settled into family life and now proudly goes by Meatloaf—though he also answers to Sweetloaf, Loaf, Big Beef, and Bill. 🐾

Meatloaf lives with his parents, three teenagers, and two cats, and he loves everyone equally (with just a tiny bit of extra love reserved for mom 💕). He’s spoiled daily with toys, treats, and plenty of affection. While he’s on a mission to destroy every squeaky toy he meets, he’s otherwise the gentlest dog around.

His family says they can’t imagine life without him—and we’re so grateful to know he’s thriving. Meatloaf is actually the third pet his adopters have welcomed home from PARL, and their continued support means the world. 💛

It’s been awhile since Tac found his forever home after recovering from hip surgery, and we’re so excited to share how well he’s doing! At his last vet visit, Tac weighed in at a healthy 72 lbs, and most days you’d never even know he once had a hip injury. 💪🐕

Tac has turned into a total social butterfly—he makes friends with every dog he meets and has built himself quite the pup squad (especially the ones with backyards to play in… those are his favorite!). He’s also doing wonderfully with new people and new situations, taking everything in stride with his happy, goofy spirit.

We’re so proud of Tac and so grateful to everyone who helped him get here. Here’s to many more adventures for this big lovebug! 🥰

Introducing our beautiful, bonded father-son duo, Doc and Shadow!

Doc and Shadow are irresistibly adorable, sweet, and chonky men who can't wait to find their loving, ideally rat-savvy home together!

Doc, dad of Shadow, is a little more reserved and nibbly than his son, Shadow, but both are equally as sweet, slowly getting used to human interaction and the occasional head scratch. They adore spending their days exploring their cage space with every-changing enrichment, rummaging through their digboxes for their food, sleeping one on top of the other, and enjoying the occasional snack of a seaweed strip, mealworms, or Cheerios!

This weekend, thanks to our partnership with the for , all adoption fees are waived this weekend for all animals 6 months and older! It's a ripple effect—adopt one, help many!

🎉 Honey Bear has found her family! 🎉

This sweet girl stole hearts with her excited wiggles, cozy couch cuddles, and endless “awoos.” She’s a pro at her manners, a gentle walking buddy, and the ultimate family dog—friendly with people and kids, and always ready to show off her talents (she even wooed us all in our recent talent show!).

We’re so happy to see Honey Bear off to her forever home where she can keep sharing her wiggles, grumbles, and sleepy snuggles. 💛

Looks like Reese has taken matters into his own paws… and made himself a Marketplace listing. 🐾

Reese has been at PARL since November, waiting to find his forever home. He’s learned so much in that time — from walking politely on a leash to channeling his excitement into playtime. He may not be the “quiet roommate,” but he’s the one who makes life a lot more fun.

Adopting and fostering frees space and resources for shelters to take in even more animals who desperately need them. When we help one, we help many - that's .
We’re proud to be teaming up with the for this nationwide campaign to help more animals find homes.

Reese is in our special adoption program which sets adopters and their new pet up for success with pre and post adoption counseling. Reese’s adoption fee has been covered by a donor and he will go home with a voucher with a local trainer to help get him started in his new home. We’ve got a lot of animals in our care right now—including quite a few bunnies! 🐰 With space in the shelter filling quickly, foster homes make all the difference. By fostering, you not only give an animal a break from the busy shelter environment, but you also help us create more room for others who may need us unexpectedly.

Fostering can last anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, and every bit of help matters. It’s a rewarding way to make a direct impact and set animals up for their best chance at adoption. 💛

Looking for your forever adventure buddy! Sugar Snap Pea was treated to a lovely day out with Dog Coordinator Claire. Needless to say, we think she had the “Adventure of a Lifetime”!

But she wants to go on more adventures, so she’s looking for the right person who can match her energy!
