Well, after a series of family carfluffle (my youngest son learned that bats bites, rabies shots suck, and your immune system doesn't like them either), Rockette our Shih Tzu with IMHA gave us a scare, our RV decided not to start, we managed to pull ourselves together with large help from the Blatt Family and my Momma, we managed to have a nice week of shows at New Castle, Pa. We experienced all four seasons, summer, spring, fall and winter during the week but had a great time anyway. Here are the highlights!

FLF PLAY IT AGAIN, PAISLEY "Ditto"- WB, BOW, Best Of Breed Owner Handled for a 5pt Major. That brings her to 12 pts with both majors. 3 points to go!

These guys got to go down and spend time with the High School Vet Sciences Students. It's a wonderful program, the dogs get lots of attention and socialization and the kids get hands on experience. I love being a small part of encouraging the next generation of veterinary professionals professionals!

I'm about a week behind on messages. My hubby wound up hospitalized for a night, then I think we brought home the stomach ick from the hospital. Seems to be tapering off now, thank goodness.

Mushu

Mushu is a Black and White mismark Cardigan female. She can be reserved with new people, but melts under your hands for petting. She is very much still a puppy, and loves to play with EVERYONE. She can be annoying to other dogs, but takes rejection well 🤣 She just scurries off to play with someone else. She has a wonderful future as a family pet, with no issues with anybody, ever, lol.

I'd say she would enjoy just about any environment, though she would probably love a canine siblings who loves to play. She may annoy an older, more cantakerous canine siblings. I think she would enjoy kids of all ages.

FLF Cap'N Crunch " Captain"

Captain is a Red and White Male Pembroke. His ears were damage as a baby by his overly enthusiastic littermates. He has just been hanging around as 100% farm dog because he is just a fun dude. He shows TONS of agility, smarts, and speed. I really think he would enjoy agility, and he is super fast, keeping up with our UTV at 15mph. He prefers female dogs to other male dogs. He has been fine with strangers, loves to hike, and has lots of energy. He loves getting down and dirty, and can normally be found in a filthy condition, haha.

He would be very fun with an active individual or family. He does have an "off switch" and will sit and cuddle, as well. I think his ideal household would have only other female dogs (or as an only dog), and maybe no tiny humans, because he does like to jump, zoom, and has poor impulse control 🤣

FLF Coal Kisses "Coal"

Coal is a Black and white with brindle point Cardi male. He started showing as a 3 month old puppy, and has been shown by jrs and handlers. Conformation wise, he just isn't a successful show prospect. He's sort of a silly, clumsy, semi lazy dude. Not particularly graceful, but very very sweet and agreeable. He currently plays with a group of other intact males with no issues except the occasional disagreement over food/toy. Great with female dogs.

I think his idle setting would be with a calm family or individual with a couple other dogs (or only dog, though he does like to play, lol) He could very easily do some showing in juniors. He is a very sweet boy.

Deya is a Black and White with brindle Cardigan Girl. She is one of my more "Top Dog" females. She prefers male dogs over other females. She is very loyal and gets very attached to her people. She can be reserved with new people, which is a Cardigan breed trait. She has, however, had a full show career including lots of strangers, travel, different handlers, and crazy environments so clearly warms up quickly, lol.

She would prefer a home with maybe 1 or 2 other male dogs, lots of couch time, and I would lean towards teen kids and up. She's always been good with dog savy kids, but hasn't had a ton of experiences with toddlers/newborns.

FLF Queen Of Our Hearts "Bess" and her Momma, Maureen picked up another point taking WB at Syracuse, NY last Sunday! Congratulations you guys 🥳🥳🥳 Bess is a whisper away from earning her AKC Championship for the *second* time, due to a paperwork error. Go Bess, Go!!
