And… today it’s Oskar’s birthday! 🎂🎉
My April Fool’s horse in sooo many ways.
If you know Oskar, then you know how silly and mischievous he can be.

In true Oskar fashion, this was what I walked out to yesterday morning 🙄. He’s good at getting those gates open and finding his way to the treats while he leaves a trail of destruction behind him 😂
Don’t worry, he still got a bran molasses cake and a grooming from another client today!

Well, I said I was done with training and exercising horses. “Getting older, shoulder injuries, tired….😆”

Of course, horses have a funny way of testing one’s resolve. And they are always ready to teach us something. I am, in fact, the one always saying that horses are the best therapists. They don’t care about your plans; they just meet you where you are, make you step up, make you get to work, make you breathe, and remind you why you started in the first place. And they never allow you to get old or lazy.
