A high of 47 degrees today. Cloudy, foggy and pouring rain all day. My favorite type of weather! My kids however, not enjoying it as much. So everyone at sessions this week is getting hot cocoa in the barn!

Belated post to wish the best barn dog ever a very Happy Birthday! 🎉💕

Sundance is the easiest, sweetest and most amazing dog we could have ever asked for. Who would’ve known 10 years ago when Sahalie presented an entire research project on dogs, why she should have a dog and what breed she determined was the best for our family as part of a homeschooling project I gave her to convince us?! There was a written paper, a speech and a poster board to go along with it. Needless to say, she presented a successful argument for a Golden Retriever 😆.

Sundance has also survived cancer. March of 2024 she was diagnosed, had her spleen removed, the vet said it had most likely spread but we would keep watching her. In April 2025, she had gone a year after treatment with no detectable signs of cancer during checkups, and the vet declared her in complete remission. She has been back to her normal, hyper, crazy self ever since 🤗

Perfect timing to have a barn day fall on the Equinox.
What else to do but a nature scavenger hunt for signs of fall 🍂🍁 with two of my absolute favorite boys! Beautiful, cool and cloudy day today to make it even better
