We are so proud of Bella “Enchanted Lexus “ and her first c**t by Batt Man. His barn name will be “Bill”. This foal marks the 6th generation of show horses that was started by my dad and mom some 40 years ago.

We had a great time this weekend in South Carolina seeing our four legged family members and all of our friends. Thank you Jay and Kristy Starnes for taking such great care of Lady, Bella, Caesar and Neo. We can’t wait for Caesar to debut next year and Bella’s first foal being born.

This was a special moment for our whole family. Our grandson, Hudson Miller, showed in his first horse show at the March To The Arch show a couple of weeks ago.
A HUGE thank you goes out to Jay Starnes and Kristy Starnes for helping us get everything ready and Cathy Starnes for letting us use her great mare, SHES SO SOUTHERN “Reba”.

Our next chapter….BEST NOT SAID “Caesar”. This flashy and talented 2 year old AQHA / APHA gelding by No Doubt Im Lazy and the phenomenal mare Its Best To Be Hot will be the next show horse for us. We are anxiously awaiting this one. This incredible specimen was bred and raised by Jay and Kristy Starnes.

As we prepare to close out 2022, I sit here and reflect on what Enchanted Lexus “Bella” means to our family. She has provided us so many memories that we will cherish forever. When we first met with Jay and Kristy Starnes to discuss a plan for Bella as a yearling, we all agreed that we would have no specific goals or expectations for her but that they would train her to be the best individual that she could be and let the rest take care of itself. As we sit here 5 years later, I’d say that plan turned out remarkable. Bella’s show career leading into this year had been nothing short of incredible with too many NSBA and AQHA Futurity, Circuit Championships and Year End High Point Awards to list all in Western Pleasure.

This year she continued her winning ways by earning Circuit Championships in L2 Senior WP at every circuit shown with Kristy Starnes. Kristy and Bella were also Top 5 in an extremely tough Sr. WP at the NSBA World Show and they were Top 10 at the Congress in Sr. Pleasure as well. As we headed to the AQHA World Show we agreed that this would be Bella’s last show. I wasn’t able to show her in the L3 Amateur Pleasure at the World Show due to a work commitment, so Kristy and I decided I would show her in the Open L2 Senior WP. It was an emotional ride to say the least and I was so proud to place in the Top 10 with her for my last ride. The next day Kristy showed Bella in the L3 Senior WP and placed in the Top 10 as well.

Bella is now officially retired and has earned her neck collar as a broodmare. Bella finishes her career with earnings of over $30,000, titles of NSBA World Champion, multiple BCF Champion, NSBA Reserve Horse of the Year ‘20, AQHA High Point L2 WP’20, and she is currently sitting Reserve AQHA High Point in L2 Senior WP as of 12/30/2022.

Kristy Starnes deserves all the credit for Bella’s success. She has been the sole trainer for Bella’s entire career and we are forever grateful and appreciative for Kristy’s knowledge, perseverance and professionalism. You are an extremely talented horse trainer!! We can’t say thank you enough. You created this masterpiece that I have dreamed about for 40 years.

We are looking forward with excitement to show Bella’s babies, especially since her babies will be the sixth generation that I will have the pleasure to show. I look forward to our grandchildren Hudson Miller, Hattie Miller and Stetson Duncan enjoying Bella’s babies as well.

Bella will live out her retirement years in the lush fields of Starnes Quarter Horses.

You earned it Bella. You are my unicorn!!!

As 2021 is coming to a close, I reflect on another wonderful year showing my special unicorn, Enchanted Lexus “Bella”. We were Circuit Champions in L3 Amateur Western Pleasure at the Stars N Stripes show in Georgia in July. I had to skip the NSBA World Show in August after wiping out on Logan Starnes‘ hoverboard my first day at the show. (Yes, you read that right! Video in comments.) I crashed and burned. 🤦‍♂️I thought Jay, Kristy and my lovely wife we’re going to kill me. Once I healed, Bella and I went on to win the L3 Amateur Western Pleasure at The Championship Show in Ocala in October and were 5th at the AQHA World Show in L3 Amateur Western Pleasure in November. I have been blessed in so many ways and I don’t take that lightly. I deeply appreciate my good friends/trainers Kristy and Jay Starnes, my wonderful wife, Mike & Chris Bell, Jackie & Cathy Starnes, Brianne Lenehan and all of Team Starnes. None of these accomplishments would be possible without your hard work and support. I sincerely say, “THANK YOU”! I wish everyone a safe and happy New Year and good luck to everyone showing in 2022.

Enchanted Lexus and Dean were Champions in the Amateur Western Pleasure at The Championship Show in Ocala. We would like to give a huge thank you to Jay and Kristy Starnes and Brianne Lenehan for always having Bella ready. It was a late night but one that we will never forget!! We would also like to thank the judges for rewarding Bella's talents.

We are loving the new photo's of our special girl RLS LEXUS LADY. Lady has been and continues to be a blessing to our family. She has been listed among both AQHA & NSBA top producing mare lists and she only has 6 foals, 5 of which are performers winning over $120K and 560 AQHA points combined. Her foals have also earned the titles of NSBA Horse of the Year, NSBA Reserve Horse of the Year, and numerous World & Reserve World Championships. We can't wait to see what the next chapter will bring with her 2021 VS Code Red bay c**t we affectionately call "Lucky".
