Meet Verde - he needs a new home. (More pictures in comments) His elderly owner has moved and can't take him with him. Verde is a Blue-Crowned Conure about 15 years old. He seems to be a quiet independent bird not needing much snuggling, of course, all birds can scream loudly now and then, and he has his moments. He is fully flighted.
His beak is considered to be a scissor beak and needs frequent trimmings - about every 4 to 5 weeks. I have been trimming Verde's beak regularly for years and it is much easier to maintain now. If you bring him into your home I will continue to care for his beak at a very reduced rate just to make sure it is cared for well. When overgrown, it can hinder his eating abilities.
He loves to sit up on the top of his cage and watch the world outside. He comes with his cage, an air filter, the carpet mat under his cage, and other items. We can help transport him for you.
He's a medium sized bird about 14 to 15 inches long. He has always been sweet to me during groomings. Please leave questions in the comments and I will get back to you soon. Thanks, Lori Riden
