Meet Kona! She is a 3 month old German Shepherd/bully mix. She’s full of puppy love! Kona is always ready for an adventure or a cuddle session after a long play. 
Kona has been working hard on house training. She is also crate trained. Big plus, she sleeps through the night! She’s working on basic manners and would flourish in a home committed to helping her grow into a well-behaved and happy adult dog.

It’s TANK Tuesday!

Tank has been waiting patiently for his forever home and would love to find his new family for the holidays! ♥️

Facts about Tank:

- One year old
- Affectionate, curious, playful, energetic, and smart. He is eager to please and likes learning new things!
- Good with people, kids ages 7 and up (he’s a lot of dog!)
- Would probably do best in a home with no other dogs but with proper introductions and time, he could do well with a dog sibling 💙
- House trained
- Will happily let you put festive accessories on him

A $20 minimum donation per calendar is suggested and 100% of the proceeds will help defray food and medical expenses for our rescues.

Each dog who had his/her picture submitted by their pet parent is represented in the calendar.

It’s WHY (isn’t Van adopted) Wednesday!

VAN has been with PAWS for over a year, and we cannot figure out why!

Facts about Van:
-1.5 years old
-Border Collie mix
-55lbs
-Very energetic and slightly clumsy
-Sweet with all humans, including kids, but because of his size, he may be a bit much for small children
-Good with other dogs
-Good with cats (but may try to play)

Van may be at one of our upcoming meet and greets, so be on the lookout for his name!

PAWS (Powell Animal Welfare Society) is an all-volunteer, all foster-based dog rescue serving the Columbus, Ohio area. Our volunteers rescue, provide veterinary care and find loving homes for abused, neglected and/or stray dogs from high-kill shelters in Ohio and neighboring states.

PAWS strives to eliminate the needless killing of homeless animals, one dog, one adopter at a time. We are in need of more loving foster homes for homeless dogs that are rescued from death row. PAWS can only save a dog if we have a foster home to care for it since we have NO kennel. Each foster home provides shelter and care, while PAWS provides food, veterinary care (including spay/neuter) and all necessary supplies such as crates, bowls, leashes, collars, etc.
