Health & Grooming Safety

When choosing a professional groomer, your pet’s health and safety should always be a top priority. A properly trained groomer should understand safe handling, recognize potential health concerns, and know how to properly clean and disinfect their equipment and salon between every pet.

I have been blessed to receive extensive professional training throughout my grooming career. I spent 14 years in the corporate grooming world, where strict health and safety protocols were instilled in me from day one. Yearly testing, continuing education, and certification were mandatory, and these standards became an important part of how I care for every pet entrusted to me.

Even seven years after leaving the corporate grooming environment, I continue to follow those same safety practices and protocols in my salon. Proper sanitation, disinfecting tools and surfaces between pets, safe handling, and maintaining a clean grooming environment are all essential parts of providing quality care.

Your pet deserves more than just a beautiful haircut. They deserve to be handled with knowledge, patience, care, and safety from the moment they arrive until they go home.

Their health and well-being always come first.

Mr Sherman needs his own post. He came when I first open my home salon. People say oh he’s short hair he doesn’t need groom. Quite the opposite. Removing dead hair and dander is so important to a dogs skin and health. Also maintaining his nails so he can properly walk. Sherman comes in often to stay fresh and look his best. I’m a tad obsessed over him. Who wouldn’t be, look at that face 🥹😍

Miss Sophie has a special place in my daughter heart. She says she looks like our late Willow. Sophie is now 13 I been with her since a baby. From silly antics to needing more assistance with standing she still is happy to have her spa day. Senior grooming takes more time and patience. I have lost a lot of my senior groom dogs in the last 4 years. The sting never gets easier. But I love them like they were my own fur babies. 21 years of grooming has taught me to groom in a zen way and not be rushed. This is why I offer one on one grooming ❤️🐾❤️🐾
