Shop dog appreciation post!

We know they can be a little loud sometimes, and they can be a little chaotic. They get a little crazy when they wrestle, but they sleep most of the day and then we get cuddle pictures 🥰

One of the best perks of this job is getting to bring our best friends with us. We love that we can spend every possible minute with our pups who can never live long enough ❤️

🚨🚨🚨 New Policy Alert!!! 🚨🚨🚨

We will be moving to a cash/check/retained card only model for payment in the salon in DECEMBER. The reason is primarily high credit card fees and the ongoing processing problems that I'm sure you've felt if you're a regular client.

🚨🚨🚨 ADDITIONALLY 🚨🚨🚨

We will be requiring a card to be kept on file that will be automatically charged in case of last minute cancellations and no shows. You will also be able to pay for your appointments with this saved card. This is standard protocol for many service providers and either I implement this policy or I raise my prices substantially for everyone. This will be slowly implemented through the end of the year.

🚨🚨 Important!!! 🚨🚨

My phone has been having some issues and I JUST NOW had voicemails load from last Monday. Who knows what else I've missed!!! Please message me here or text me if you've been trying to get a hold of the salon! We will be closed until Tuesday but I'll do my best to get back to everyone I've missed!

Anyway, did you know that Tollers (also called Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers) are known for their sweet expression? Luckily, we didn't experience their other quirk - the toller scream 🤣 he was an absolute angel 💜

🚨🚨 PRICE INCREASE SEPTEMBER 1st🚨🚨

As expected, my cost of doing business has skyrocketet. I am doing my absolute best to keep my prices reasonable so please read the following if you have concerns:

Seniors with small dogs who are CURRENTLY on a regular schedule will NOT be affected.

We will be charging for the following: specialty haircuts, dematting (per 10 minutes), "clean" feet, and outline/feather trims on double coated dogs. These are things that I have not (or hardly ever) charged for.

Prices will increase for specialty haircuts (hand sc******ng, hand stripping, breed standard type trims), double coated breed haircuts, and bath/brush/deshed on dogs corgi sized and larger.

Thank you for your business and understanding! We so appreciate all of you.

Wow! I have done a "happy Pride month" greeting every year since I opened, as far as I remember. I don't think it's ever pi**ed so many people off. This community needs to take a good, hard look at how they treat people who are different than them.

My last post WASN'T even about Pride, but this one is. HAPPY PRIDE from the happily q***r owned and operated Lazy K9 Grooming.

Happy Pride Month!
Lazy K9 Grooming is hiring a bather!

Duties include bathing dogs, nail trims, deshedding treatments, checking clients in and out, lots and lots of cleaning, and miscellaneous errand running.
Position starts at $12/hr + tips during the training period if you don't have salon experience, but increases based on how quickly you pick up on things - potential for $15/hr + 20% commission + tips, which is what roughly 18 months of working here increases to. So there's a possibility to make decent money. Even more money if you're wanting to train to be a groomer.

Salon is located in downtown Powell.

Hours are flexible, but Monday-Friday availability is required.

Position starts July 1st.

Must be able to lift ~50+lbs.
