For over a year, Basil has captured hearts with her unique look, sweet personality, and incredible resilience. From surviving life as a stray with a bullet lodged in her shoulder, to raising 10 puppies, overcoming heartworms, and patiently waiting for her forever family, she's proven she's one of a kind.

Now it's finally time to answer the question we've all been asking...

Padme has been waiting for her forever family since we rescued her from the shelter back in January. While so many dogs have found their homes, this sweet girl is still patiently waiting for someone to choose her.

Padme is good with other dogs, loves being close to her people, and has a heart full of love to give. She’s the kind of dog that just wants to be wherever you are.

That’s how long Basil has been waiting for someone to see what her foster already knows.

She's the kind of girl who asks for nothing more than a cozy spot on the couch, a few head scratches, and someone to love. She's good with other dogs, good with cats, and has a heart as big as her beautiful brown eyes.

Day after day, she watches other dogs find their forever families while she patiently waits for her turn.

Could today be the day someone finally chooses Basil? 🐾❤️ Her DNA results will be revealed soon 👀🧬

🐾Happy Thursday K&S friends

We're posting Ziggy again. Our sweet boy is still patiently waiting for someone to see just how sweet he is.

We don't know his back story but we know he wasn't given much of a chance at experiencing home life. Ziggy loves people, he's good with other dogs and he's always down for an adventure. Looking for a car ride buddy he's your guy.

Ziggy is still waiting in boarding which is no place for a dog to be while they wait on their forever homes, but boarding keeps him safe and gives him that second chance he truly deserves. And to add to it, he's a black dog and black dog syndrome is a real thing 😔

Ziggy is so special and we know his people are out there. If you're interested in adopting him DM us or submit and application. If you're not quite ready for adoption but have considered fostering please do so by submitting a foster application.

🇺🇸 Memorial Day weekend is a time for celebration, cookouts, travel, and making memories with loved ones — but it can also be one of the most dangerous weekends for pets if we aren’t careful. 🐾

As you enjoy the holiday weekend, please remember to keep your furry family members safe:

• Never leave pets outside unattended in the heat ☀️
• Make sure they always have access to fresh water 💧
• Keep pets away from grills, fireworks, alcohol, and human foods that may be toxic 🚫
• Check fences, gates, and leashes before gatherings or guests arrive
• Ensure all pets are wearing ID tags and are microchipped in case they get scared and run off
• Be mindful of loud noises and crowded environments that can cause stress or anxiety

A little extra caution can save a life this weekend. ❤️
