After having a great experience at Dog Gone Clean today, I sent this email to my friend, Barb, who recommended them. She suggested I share it, and I agree wholeheartedly. Today, at Dog Gone Clean, I had the BEST customer service experience I've had in years. It was a challenging experience, and they handled it like it was something they encountered every day! Here's my message to her (and big kudos to Dog Gone Clean)!
It’s easier for many reasons in many ways to save and transport smaller dogs. They’re who foster homes want to foster, adopters want to adopt, eat less food, use less medication, have smaller poops, and all that means we can save more dogs when we save smaller.
But it’s not up to the dog what size they are so sometimes we gotta say to heck with all that because big girls need love too. So meet Ch’kn Nugget, the 72lbs underweight Sheepie who arrived to the shelter in gross shape. Yesterday, thanks to Dog Gone Clean - Portland/Beaverton, Ch’kn had a spa day and is feeling much better — even if she doesn’t look too pleased yet.
And now that we can see what was underneath all that matted fluff, can’t wait to feed her so much nuggets.
Good help comes in all forms. Whenever we hear someone say that they feel bad for not being able to do more, we remind them that you don't have to foster or even make a big donation to have an impact -- if we all do what we can, whatever that is, it matters.
So we owe a huge thank you to Dog Gone Clean - Portland/Beaverton for doing what they could and giving *four* of our badly matted new saves the spa treatment they've deserved for some time -- and not charging us a cent.
Here is Himself before and after his glow-up. Amazingly this 6 month old baby is still available for adoption but we know now that he looks more dapper dude than scraggily scruff, that is sure to change.

Shout out to Dog Gone Clean for getting Fancy ready for the Rose Festival Canine Court Coronation Ceremony today! The newly crowned QUEEN looked SO good accepting her crown!
Wow!!! I tried them for the first time today. They just opened up on Hall Blvd and I've been driving by, decided to drop in. So glad I did. Cory did a fantastic job on my 2 basset hounds. Friendly people, great prices. Their nails have NEVER looked so good.

Hello. Keep trying to call and get a busy signal. Is your phone off the hook?
They do a great job. The only bad thing is that word is getting around, and it's harder to get in. Still not that hard. My other facility takes a month, and for Dog Gone Clean it only took 5 days.
