In case you missed it, Luna had the most incredible day on Military Makeover with Montel!

The Woofie's team had the absolute honor of pulling up to the Dawson family in our Mobile Pet Spa and giving sweet Luna the full luxury treatment she so deserves. A proper doggie spa day from start to finish, for the heart and soul of a family who has given so much for this country.

Watching her happy, relaxed, and completely pampered was a moment the entire team will carry with them for a long time. This is exactly why we do what we do.

Our involvement did not stop there. Many Woofie's team members volunteered throughout the entire home makeover process alongside the Military Makeover crew. Stay tuned for the final home reveal and progress along the way. Every Thursday morning on Lifetime through April 23rd.

Every hero needs a sidekick. For Purple Heart veteran, Matthew Dawson, that's Luna. 🐾

Meet Luna, a two-year-old German Shepherd-Husky mix and the heart of the Dawson home. She was adopted from Big Dog Ranch Rescue in Loxahatchee, Florida at just five months old, the last of her litter to find her forever family. From the moment Matthew, Christina, and the kids met her, she buried her head in their laps and never really left.

She goes on every family walk. She is inseparable from the kids. She believes with her whole heart that every single home visitor has come specifically to see her. She likes to run outside with all of her toys and loves eating strawberries🍓

For veterans navigating the lasting impacts of service, a dog like Luna is so much more than a pet. She brings comfort, joy, and unconditional love every single day. The Dawsons absolutely adore her and honestly, we already do too.

We are so honored to be part of this family's story, and Luna has something very special coming her way. Tune into Military Makeover on April 2nd to find out.

Meet the Dawson family.

U.S. Army Veteran Matthew Dawson served as an infantryman, rising to the rank of Sergeant before his medical retirement. During deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, he survived a gr***de blast that changed the course of his life forever. Today, he channels that same resilience into his work as a foreman at a custom welding shop and into raising his family alongside his partner Christina.

At the heart of their home is Luna, a two-year-old rescue pup who gives this family so much more than companionship. For families carrying the weight of military service, a dog like Luna isn't just beloved. She is essential. 🐾

This family deserves every bit of joy coming their way, and something tells us Luna agrees. She has a very special surprise of her own coming on next week's episode. See Woofie's and Luna take center stage on Military Makeover, April 2nd.

Lake Oswego families, we are excited to announce something special.

On Saturday, March 7, Woofie’s of SW Portland is partnering with Studio B Photography for a one day Dog Model Search event right here in Lake Oswego.

Every participating dog will be included in our 2026 marketing campaign, and select pups will be chosen to appear on our Woofie’s mobile pet spa van.

This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our local dog community while capturing professional portraits with Studio B.
