Welcome to 8 week old kittens Moo, Baa, and Oink. These are 3 special needs kittens who really needed a rescue to commit to helping them to find the perfect and safe home. The 3 all have CH or commonly known as wobbly cat syndrome. Moo has very involved CH, Baa has moderate involvement, and Oink has mild involvement. All three are available for adoption.

For further info:
Wobbly cat syndrome, scientifically known as Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), is a neurological condition where a kitten's cerebellum fails to develop fully in the womb.

cats with wobbly cat syndrome—scientifically known as cerebellar hypoplasia (CH)—can live very happy, joyful, and fulfilling lives

Wobbly Cats Are Happy cats!
* No Pain: The condition is completely painless. Cats do not hurt or suffer from their jerky movements or lack of balance.
* Not Progressive: Cerebellar hypoplasia does not get worse over time. It happens before birth when the cerebellum fails to develop fully, usually due to a viral exposure in the womb.
* They Adapt Fast: Because cats are born with this condition, they do not know any different. They learn to compensate for their wobbly limbs and figure out how to play, climb, snuggle, and love just like other cats.
* Normal Lifespan: Wobbly cat syndrome has no effect on a cat's life expectancy, intelligence, or personality.

We had a successful adoption fair this morning. It was a busy morning as we welcomed 75-80 people to meet the kittens. It looks like 5 kittens found families, pending application approvals.

Thank you to Visit Port Washington Pebble House and our host Amy Clark. Many thank yous to our fosters who brought their kittens and stayed to answer questions. Big thank yous to our volunteers who helped with kitten transportation and those helping with kitten supervision and safety.

Oli and Tink are still waiting to find their special people. They recently moved to a new foster home to learn all about new people and learning to live with dogs. The foster home has 2 cat friendly dogs and both kittens are doing great with their introduction to pups.

Both will be at the adoption fair this Saturday at Pebble House. Email [email protected] and get your applications submitted and approved so you’ll be ready to take these cute little bugs home.

Sweet little Mulberry continues to struggle with respiratory issues. He started coughing again so was seen by the fabulous Dr. Gilberton with East Towne Veterinary Clinic.

A third medication has been added and he continues to receive nebulizer treatments twice daily.

The excellent news is that he continues to eat and gain weight, now to get his lungs healthy so he can run and play like kittens do.
